J.E.B. Stuart Guest Room
The spacious J.E.B. Stuart original Mansion House guestroom is named for Gen. J.E.B. Stuart who stayed in this room in 1862 during a confederate raid of the valley. General Stuart revisited the Inn on July 4, 1863 as he & General Robert E. Lee led their troops on the Confederate Retreat. Defeated & weary, the two Generals along with several of their officers stopped at The Fairfield Inn for a hot meal.
Accommodations include a queen sized bed, large seating area with foldout full-sized sofa & a beautifully decorated large bath with a whirlpool tub. Maximum Occupancy: 4

Patrick Henry Guest Room
The Patrick Henry guest room is named for the American Patriot & Statesman (1736-99) famous for the quote “Give me Liberty or Give me Death”. He was the nephew of the Mistress of the House, Isabella Henry Miller. This original Mansion House room was used by him during many of his visits to the Inn as a meeting room with the town’s elders.
This second floor room is furnished with antiques, a full-sized iron bed, and a large, gorgeous private bath with a claw-foot tub and separate shower. Maximum Occupancy: 2

Patrick Henry was an early visitor to The Fairfield Inn as his aunt, Isabella Henry Miller was the owner's wife.
General J.E.B. Stuart visited The Fairfield Inn in 1862, during a daring raid of the valley. He returned in 1863, this time with General Robert E.
