General Information

This picture-postcard Austrian chalet is open year around and is perched on a quiet hillside in the Green Mountains of north central Vermont ... mid-way between the year around resorts of Stowe and Sugarbush (both about 20 minutes drive), and near Montpelier (15 minutes) and Burlington / Lake Champlain (30 minutes). Romantic guestrooms open onto a balcony. Three cabins (each with queen bed, bathroom, sitting area, woodstove and deck) are tucked away along trails up in the forest. In the inn, a large stone fireplace and wood stove in the self-serve BYOB pub are favorite gathering places. Hike or snowshoe 40 acres of trails in the forest behind the inn. Nearby activities include world class downhill skiing, hiking, golf, fishing, boating, bicycling, soaring, canoeing, antiquing, spectacular autumn leaf viewing, outlet shopping, and touring Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill.

  Located along our forest trails, each cabin measures 15 X 15 feet, has a cathedral ceiling with paddle fan, queen-size bed, private bathroom, sitting area with wood stove, and front deck with chairs. The cabins are open from late May to the end of October. The inn is open year around.

  Cancellations made in 15 or fewer days of arrival are refundable only if the room or cabin is re-rented for the days cancelled. Cancellations prior to 15 period are charged $20 processing fee.
