General InformationPerhaps the most elegant and peaceful Vermont Inn we have seen! This historic mansion, located just south of Montpelier, has been beautifully restored to its original Victorian elegance. Once occupied by a princess, it is tastefully decorated with period furnishings, orientals, antiques, brass and carved wood beds with luxurious Eurpoean down bedding and private baths. We were served a unforgetable, multi-course gourmet breakfast, including fresh fruit, homemade hot granola, and then a main course. All this at a table aglow with interesting conversation, International guests, and a breathtaking view of the Green Mountains. After breakfast we strolled to the woodland koi pond, hiked through mountain trails, and into town with its five covered bridges. An experience you will always remember!
