Inn At Buck Hollow Farm

  • Inn Details

We are an intimate New England country inn. Tucked on 400 spectacular acres just 30 miles from Burlington and 15 from St. Albans, the inn truly is a four-season retreat. Whether you walk our wooded trails, listen to a brook, or sit by the heated pool and watch the birds, you will appreciate our special country atmosphere. After hiking, biking or walking, you may decide to sit before the fire, browse through the antique shop, or simply enjoy the sounds of migrating geese. Winter offers cross-country skiing on our property with major ski areas close by. Watch the production of maple syrup in our sugarhouse and taste the results on your pancakes the next morning. We now offer, for the convenience of those who’d rather sit by that fire than head out to dinner, home made pizza in three sizes, two pasta choices, fondu or chili dinners. Even we are surprised by how popular they are. A full Vermont Breakfast, included with your stay, is served in our intimate country dining room. For those who would rather hang out by the fire (winter) or pool (summer) than trudge out to a restaurant, we now offer fabulous home made pizza in three sizes.

  • Winter Special

    1/8/2012 - 4/30/2012

It is no secret that the best skiing is during the week - fewer people, shorter waits, better powder. It is also no secret that inns and lodging establishments find it challenging to fill their rooms during the week in the off-season. (It's also no secret that everyone is edgy about the economy). IT'S A PERFECT MATCH. To encourage all of you to make use of weekdays during the winter, we're making the following offer. Come stay with us and to the extent that any or all of your stay includes two weekday nights, (excludes Friday and Saturday), we'll cut the cost of those weekday nights in half. That's right, a 50% discount. So, for example, if you stay Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, those first two nights will be at half price while Friday will be at the regular rate. Or, if you stay Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the cost of the entire stay is cut in half. Such a deal. No other discount applies. You will need to mention this offer though for the special to apply.

    March Wine Tasting Special

    2/8/2012 - 3/31/2012

Nothing says romance like wine sampling in the Green Mountains. Bring your significant other, your best friend, or your best friend that you're trying to make a significant other to Buck Hollow Farm on both Friday and Saturday in the month of March and we will include a wine tasting for two at the Boyden Valley Winery in picturesque Cambridge Vermont. The package includes wine tasting for two, plus a pair of wine glasses to keep. You can choose to sample seven of 15 wines, including fruit blends, bold reds, and crisp whites and a cream liqueur that pairs impeccably with Vermont cheddar. While you’re there take a tour (at 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.) and witness the process of winemaking. You MUST mention "March Wine Tasting Weekend Special in the note section if booking online or tell us when you call to reserve in order to take advantage of this special. Offer only valid when you book both weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) throughout the month of March and only valid when booking directly through our web site or by phone.

Ok, here is the deal - we planned a trip to be leaf peepers. Never having stayed at a B & B we surfed websites and stumbled across the Inn At Buck Hallow and their newsletters. We feel instantly in love with the feeling of the inn. We were not disappointed, you show up and fall in love. It has a feeling of driving up to a friends house. What an amazing adventure. We stayed two nights and have plans to return to the "yellow room" someday in the future. Gizmo and Utah were a welcome blessing. The food was amazing - apple cinnamon pancakes, maple syrup from their trees, a special blended juice. This place made us feel special and happy. Brad, Jacquie and Sherry - thank you for making our vacation such a wonderful trip. You all are the best and we will see you sometime in the future.

Great time spent!!!! Can't wait to go back

My boyfriend and I spent one night at this Bed and Breakfast last weekend and had such an amazing time. It was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast so we were not sure what to expect. Upon arrival we were greeted by Kumba, Cosmo and Gizmo (the cat and 2 dogs). ADORABLE! Unfortunately the owners were not there that weekend but we were still very happy with the person in charge that weekend, a really sweet girl by the name of Adele. The inn was very charming, it felt like a home away from home. Grounds were clean and the rooms were all very charming. The pool and hottub were great assets and we made use of both of them. The inn is approx 30 minutes from Burlington which was nice as we really wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday city life. This is the perfect place if you are looking for that. Breakfast was quiche with some fruit salad and a croissant. Was very good. We will be returning in the near future and we do regret not being able to have stayed a second night :( It is definately a keeper in our books and the memories will remain of this wonderful little place. Miss you Gizmo!

My sister, and I and a friend spent one night at the Inn and were very impressed with it. The owners happen to be away that weekend, but the lady in charge was great. We found the accommodations were great. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. And we are hoping to be able to stay there again and would highly recommend it to our friends. You have a beautiful place.

    Good price, but lacks privacy

Buck Hollow farm has very friendly hosts, and the breakfast was sufficient but not amazing. The location is very beautiful and the rooms are well-kept. However, the rooms do lack any sense of privacy -- the porches between rooms adjoin, and we could hear the television and every sound made in the next room's bathroom as though it was in our room (yes, gross). Overall, I'd say this is a beautiful place to have your entire family rent for a weekend with dorm-style expectations, but certainly doesn't suffice for a romantic getaway.
