Our luxurious and spacious Cottage Suite is tucked away in its own private garden. Relax on your private terrace surrounded by wildflowers, or lay in bed and listen to the trickle of the water fountain. Rich luxurious colors, hand-painted French Quimper china and original oil paintings adorn the walls. The separate bedroom has a queen four-poster bed with Ralph Lauren bed clothes and high ceilings. Lounge in front of the gas fireplace or watch a movie on the VCR with cable TV. The private bathroom has a large Jacuzzi tub with shower. Additional Amenities: air-conditioning, iPod™/MP3 player docking station, WiFi and private entrance.
Our goal is to create dishes the average person doesn’t usually enjoy for breakfast. It all starts with freshly blended juices, such as banana-strawberry or pineapple-passion fruit, and cups of steaming coffee, complete with individual pitchers of cream and lump sugar imported from France. The starter course often involves fruit — a poached pear with a raspberry-star anise sauce, berry crepes or homemade cranberry granola. And as a starter should, it whets the appetite for what’s to follow. We alternate between savory and sweet breakfast entrées, so guests can enjoy a variety of flavors. Savory favorites include prosciutto baked eggs, smoked salmon benedict and lobster and asparagus quiche. Sweet specialties include Maine blueberry and almond pancakes and Belgian waffles with fresh fruit. The seasons greatly influence our breakfast menus, so summer guests are apt to experience Maine’s abundant berry crop and those who arrive in autumn may find local apples on their plates. Yum! The spacious Mansard Room is dedicated to 17th-century French architect Francois Mansart, for whom the high-pitched, two-sloped roof of the Inn is named. This lovely room is decorated to celebrate his French heritage. Hand-tied French lace curtains and a queen lace canopy bed dressed with a Ralph Lauren duvet offer the perfect atmosphere for a romantic interlude. A sitting area looks out over Camden with a distant ocean view and the classic decor is accented with Quimper china and French accessories. A private bathroom offers a large Jacuzzi tub with shower, perfect for a soothing bubble bath. Additional Amenities: air-conditioning, Flat Screen TV/DVD, WiFi and distant water view.

Battie Suite has a private entrance, private bathroom with marble floors, a Marble Shower and may accommodate an additional guest ($35/night) on the downstairs pullout sofa bed. To the right is the separate bedroom which features a king sized bed dressed with lush linens and a fluffy duvet. Located on the second floor, the Lavender Suite is decorated with vibrant colors, original oil paintings and an eye to detail. The private bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub and shower with a dark marble surround and the vessel sink adds a modern touch to a very historical building. Additional Amenities: flat-screen cable TV, DVD, WiFi, and air-conditioning.The entire third floor is dedicated to this extremely spacious suite which has views overlooking the cottage gardens. The Sunflower Suite features a large bedroom with a king-sized bed and is decorated in a French-country theme.
