New Year's Eve Dinner

A scrumptious five course dinner is being served on New Year's Eve. To tempt your tastebuds, here is the menu:

Lobster Custard with Chives
Roasted Red Pepper Soup
Osso Buco with Risotto OR
Rack of Lamb
Artisan Local Cheese Plate
Lavender Creme Brulee

The evening will start with hors d'oeuvres at 7:00 followed by dinner at 8:00.

The cost is $55.00 per person. Alcohol is not included. A two night minimum stay is required for reservations from December 23, 2009 - January 3, 2010.

As seating is limited, don't delay in making your reservation.
 
Oysters Oysters Everywhere!

For the oyster lovers out there here is a special offer just for you! From now through the end of December, with any two night stay, you will receive a special gift from the Glidden Point Oyster Sea Farm. The gift (a $50 value)will contain one dozen oysters packed on ice ready to take home, an oyster shucking apron and oyster shucking knife.

West Quoddy Suite is a lovely two room suite with separate sitting room that has TV and a gas stove. There is a large two person soaking tub in the bathroom and a shower.The backyard of the inn has beautiful gardens and provides views of the Damariscotta River. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Newcastle Inn after a day spent exploring Maine's Midcoast.
The Matinicus Suite is a large spacious room with sitting area that features a gas fireplace. The extra large jacuzzi tub awaits you after your day of sight-seeing, hiking or antiquing.The Pemaquid Point Suite has a cozy sitting room with loveseat. The bathroom has a shower and a jacuzzi tub set into the corner. In the bedroom you will find a gas fireplace at the foot of the bed.
The charming Marshall Point Room is a corner room filled with light from the two walls of windows.After a day spent exploring the Newcastle/Damariscotta area, the Newcastle Inn Pub is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cocktail, glass of wine or one of Maine's fine micro-brewed beers.
The three season porch, with views of the gardens and Damariscotta River, is an inviting place to relax or to plan your next day's adventures.The Sequin Island Room has a very unique fabric corona over the bed, making it a special room indeed.
Tenant's Harbor Room has a gas stove and partial views of the Damariscotta River.
