The Alamoosook Lodge provides guests an opportunity to savor the beauty of nature in a retreat-like setting, located on the shore of Alamoosook Lake. The Downeast Maine location of the Lodge is such that it enjoys both the quiet life of an inland Maine Lake and easy access to the splendor of Penobscot Bay and the coast. The Lodge's six cozy rooms, each with its own private bath, open onto a sun porch which overlooks the lake. You can select a room furnished with a king or queen-size bed or one with both a double and a single bed. We serve a full breakfast for our room guests. We like to say that we feed you so well you don’t even need lunch!
In addition to wildlife watching Alamoosook Lake has great fishing for bass, trout, pickerel and salmon. We have canoes and kayaks so that our guests can enjoy the lake and its wildlife. Also, unlike our famous frigid ocean waters, our lake is great for swimming! Fishing guide service is available.Our Lakside dining room with seating for up to 150 people makes an ideal spot for a wedding reception, banquet or that special party.
