Liberty Hill Blueberry French Toast

Serves: 8Ingredients:
- Italian Bread (large loaf)
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half and half
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- TOPPING
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups blueberries
Steps:
- Butter a 13 x 9 pyrex baking dish and slice Italian bread 3/4" to 1" thick. Arrange
bread slices in baking dish.
- Mix eggs, vanilla, milk, half and half, lemon oil, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl. Pour over bread, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- NEXT MORNING: Liberally sprinkle blueberries on top of bread; Mix butter and brown sugar with pastry blender or fork and sprinkle topping over fruit and bread dish.
- Bake at 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Dust with confectioner's sugar and serve warm.
