Henry Savage's French Dressing (Deerfield Inn)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup tarragon vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- clove of garlic
Steps:
- Mix mustard, sugar, paprika, salt. Mix oil and vinegar, beat until well mixed. Add dry mixture to oil and vinegar mixture and beat well. Add 3 tbs lemon juice and 3 tbs orange juice (both freshly squeezed). Beat all the ingredients well until thick and well incorporated. Add small piece garlic and leave in mixture for a while to infuse flavor.
