Deerfield Inn Asparagus Cake

- 1 cup pureed asparagus
- 2 cups sugar
- 10 whole eggs
- 1 oz baking soda
- pinch of salt
- pinch of cloves
- pinch of cinnamon
- 2 cups oil
- 2 lb bread flour
- 2 oz baking powder
Steps:
- Combine pureed asparagus, sugar, eggs, baking soda, salt, and spices. Gradually add the oil.
- Sift together the flour and baking powder. Add and incorporate the flour and baking powder. Mix until smooth.
- Place on well greased sheet pans before placing batter.
- Bake at 370ยบ until toothpick comes clean.
- Frosting for the cake consists of 3 lbs of cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups of sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla whipped until smooth.
