General InformationThe Rustic Inn is located 2.2 miles South of Historic downtown High Springs in the center of North Florida's springs, rivers and horse country. Indulge yourself in the solitude afforded by six rooms nestled among 7 acres in a ranch style setting. Although the lifestyle is casual the rooms are modernly decorated in endangered species motiffs. The Cat room with its King size bed is full of felines(not alive) with lion faces on the coverlet and prints of leopards on the wallpaper and shower curtain. The Panda room has bamboo print wallpaper, a wainscotting of panda bears and pictures of Panda's on the walls. The Sea Mammal room is decorated in aquatic colors with pictures of manatees and dolphins. The Tropical room displays pictures of tropical fish and birds. The Everglades room is decorated in a jungle theme with pictures of birds and animals native to that region. The Zebra room is the favorite of romantics. It has a King size bed, a wall of windows overlooking the pasture as well as a private deck around the corner from the other rooms. All the rooms are spacious (400 sq. ft.) with high ceilings (12 ft.), microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. A breakfast basket brought to your door suits those who prefer a quiet, private start to the day. Area recreational opportunities include canoeing and kayaking the Sante Fe, Ichetucknee, and Suwannee rivers; snorkeling or scuba diving and cave diving the many springs; tubing the Ichetucknee; hiking; horseback riding; bird watching; and cycling the uncongested country roads. In addition the University of Florida campus which offers a variety of athletic, cultural, and historical events is only 20 minutes from the Inn.
