      Take self-Estrada do Norte in the direction of Torres Novas (A1). You leave the motorway at Torres Novas. As you approach the town of Torres Novas, continue following the main route (IP6) to Mouriscas. In Mouriscas, turn right towards Portalegre. Then, on the same route, pass a bridge and turn left towards Portalegre. You pass several villages (Alvega, Casa Branca ...) At some point there is a white castle (Castelo Branco) in front of you and the ability to turn right to Alpalhão / Portalegre. You follow the signs.
