Each of the three over-sized guestrooms has a superbly comfortable antique queen bed, additional antiques of the period, private bath, private phone line with data port, and television with premium Cable. Additional comfortable accommodations are available for families up to four people.The huge double parlor features 11-foot ceilings, heavy plaster crown molding, towering mahogany pocket doors, and fireplaces adorned with original Minton tiles imported from England. The main parlor bay overlooks historic Logan Circle with its huge old oaks surrounding a classic monument to Civil War hero Gen. John Alexander Logan astride his prancing horse.
Served in our dining room, guests are treated to a continental plus breakfast featuring fresh made breads, gourmet cereals, seasonal fruit, yogurt, juice and piping hot coffee.Mornings, the guests at the Chester A. The Cinnamon Room is located on the second floor of the home. This room is furnished with a King sized bed and includes a remodeled private bath with tiled shower (no bath tub). This room is centrally air-conditioned and as with all rooms has WiFi and TV with cable. The Cinnamon Room is furnished with a King sized bed and is located on the second floor, rear of the house. A recently renovated bath is ensuite featuring a tiled shower. This room has central air-conditioning and as with all rooms at the home, wireless Internet access and TV with cable
The Highland suite, located on the third floor of the home, offers about 450 sq ft of space. This room includes a Queen sized bed, full sized sleeper sofa and private full bath. This room also features a small galley kitchen where light meals can be prepared. Families generally find this room fits their needs well. As with all rooms, wireless Internet and TV with cable are provided. Enjoy a hot cooked breakfast each morning, served family style each morning at 8am weekdays and 9am weekdays.
The Chester A.Arthur House was built in 1883. Grand double parlors on the first floor, complete with matching chandeliers custom built by the same craftsman who handled the chandeliers at the U.S. Capitol. Today, the owners have restored and furnished the first floor of the home in keeping with the rich History of the home.
