After a day of exploring the shoreline there’s nothing better than to fire up the stove in the sauna in back or to sit around the table under the weeping willow, drink lemonade and play cards. A grape-trellised tea house invites you to linger, a giant elm tree tempts you with an old-fashioned swing, and there’s always a refreshing breeze from the water which will relax and reinvigorate you at the same time.The Nuthatch has two single beds, old fashioned built ins and original wide pine floors. It has a southern exposure and sunlight streams into this charming room almost all day long.

Its big guest house is connected to the little house, our private quarters, which in turn lead to the backhouse and a grand old barn with a studio, gallery and darkroom.
