Our spacious Great Room is the heart of the inn, and the gathering place for evening relaxation and conversation. It boasts a beautiful fieldstone fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, a piano, a guitar, TV/DVD/VCR/stereo with digital cable, and a collection of classic movies.

Ponder world travel, and possible destinations for your next vacation, while studying our collection of Asian art & antiques. Enjoy a bottle of wine from our extensive cellar while lounging by a crackling fire, socialize with friends and other guests, play some music, read a book, play a boardgame, or do absolutely nothing!During the winter evenings a roaring fire is a must. Be sure to grab your seat early, as Harley & Slim, our resident felines, often take the best seat in the house!
A prepared-to-order breakfast selected from our a la carte menu is included with the daily lodging rate. We feature farm-fresh eggs, light & fluffy pancakes, Curiously Crunchy French toast, yogurt parfaits, and breakfast meats, accompanied by our home-baked bread - Weathertop Brown. With an activity-packed day ahead, we don't want you to start out on the wrong foot!

Join us in the evening for a special dining experience. Our menu includes an eclectic selection of reasonably-priced entrees, many of which are personal favorites discovered during our world travels. To complement your dining experience, we offer an international selection of fine wines and local microbrews. The Lawrence Room, our king-bedded room, honors Olympic gold-medalist Andrea Mead Lawrence. The Lawrence Room is on the 2nd floor of the inn and has a rear-facing window that overlooks the forested hillside. In keeping with Andrea's skiing endeavors, the Lawrence room features antique skis and hand-stenciled snowflakes in tones of cool blue. The KING sized bed features luxurious cotton sheets and a hand stitched quilt. The private bath offers a super-sized 5' walk-in shower.
The Lewis RoomThe Lewis Room is one of our three Queen bedded rooms. It honors Sinclair Lewis, a Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winning author. It is located on the 3rd floor of the inn and has a front facing window overlooking our lawn and the tree-lined Mill Brook. Burgundy, gold, and forest green are the predominant colors of the Lewis Room. The QUEEN bed features luxurious cotton sheets and a locally made hand stitched quilt. A comfortable reading sofa provides a quiet respite from your day's activities. The bathroom includes a standard tub/shower combo. The Frost Room honors Poet Laureate & Pulitzer Prize winner, Robert Frost. Poetry-loving guests will find several volumes of Frost's poetry in the room for their reading pleasure. The Frost Room is one of our three rooms with a 2 double bed configuration. It is located on the 2nd floor of the inn and has a front facing window that looks across our manicured lawn toward the tree-lined Mill Brook. The blue & yellow floral decor of the room is soothing & calming. The TWO DOUBLE BEDS feature luxurious cotton sheets and hand stitched quilts. The bathroom offers a super-sized 5' walk-in shower.
Those looking for a bit more excitement will venture to the game room to play pool, darts, foosball & more. The game room also features an additional TV/DVD/Music System. Looking to relive days gone by? Browse our classic vinyl collection & pop an album on the turntable! After a strenuous day in the Mad River Valley, whether skiing the Green Mountains, kayaking the Mad River, hiking the Long Trail, or biking on numerous country roads, our four person Jacuzzi hot tub will soothe those aching muscles. You can also melt away any of life's concerns in our two-person Finnish-style sauna. On winter afternoons, deer can sometimes be seen just outside the patio doors. Unfortunately, that usually means they're eating our bird seed or grazing on our shrubs...
During warmer weather, guests are encouraged to relax under the trees near our babbling brook or grab a seat on the patio adjacent to our lush perennial gardens to watch an aerial performance of the resident birds. The Mountainside Condominium Complex adjacent to Sugarbush Resort's Lincoln Peak.
