2010 ROOM EN SUITE BATH: Features shower/tub combination. Slate floors. Antique walnut sideboard/vanityKITSILANO ROOM: Vibrant scarlet contemporary Italian decor. Queen size modern Art Nouveau aluminum bed. Sandblasted glass windows floor-to-ceiling. NEW in-room air conditioning. Open dressing/work station.
KITSILANO ROOM BATHROOM: Private bathroom (located down a short hallway-robe and slippers supplied) with plenty of storage, tub shower combination, high vessel sink, granite counter. UBC ROOM: This room has just had a NEW contemporary queen size bed, mattress added-photos soon available. Cozy, colorful room and en suite located in full height basement. En suite bathroom features walk in glass surround shower and pedestal sink. Hugh private wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors.
LIVING AREA: Comfortable leather sofas and custom designed wood table. Skylights and three sliding doors are completely transparent to take advantage of the view of the backyard.SOCIAL AREA: Open space concept is pronounced by plenty of natural light from two long rows of skylights, sizeable windows and glass patio doors furthermore expanding charming indoors into lush, scenic outdoors. Expanded open area has a place to cook, dine, work, relax or watch favorite TV programs on NEW 50" plasma TV. Bright recently refinished room is contemporary, yet relaxed with stone fireplace, slate columns, custom-designed furniture in wood and leather. Unique hand-crafted round marble table with six low stools is an import from the Far East. Artistic displays portray contemporary works of local craftsman inspired by Native Indian Art along with imported ethnic art and antiques.
GUESTS KITCHEN: Complete and well arranged, self catered kitchen available for guests. The kitchen features raised bar, glass tile backsplash and hand crafted maple/zebra wood cabinetry.WELCOME TO MY HOME: Nestled in the peaceful, tree-lined neighbourhood of Dunbar is my charming heritage home, complete with luscious greenspace and stylish black stucco exterior, and welcoming restored hand crafted entry door. Over the years, my 1920s three-story house has been transformed into an elegant Bed and Breakfast retreat with the help of award-winning designer Mila Djuras of Intermind Design. An eclectic mix of furnishings is used throughout-new contemporary pieces contrast the inherited furniture enjoying a second life. The overall effect is visually appealing, blending styles and textures.
