Our home was build in 1909. Walk one block to shopping and dining. There are three guest rooms in the Main House. Guests with pets are welcome in the two rooms in the back yard. Smoking is allowed outdoors only.The Texas Special is our largest bedroom. It has a private bath with a claw-footed tub with overhead shower. An electric fireplace, TV, VCR and WiFi are available in all rooms. There is a balcony with rocking chairs ajoining this room.
Have a bubble bath in a large claw-footed tub. The Texas Special bath is a large bathroom with marble walls. The Bluebonnet Bath started life as a back porch! This bright bath has bluebonnets painted on the side of the tub, and the bubbles are ready!
The Texas Special has its own balcony. It's perfect for relaxing after a busy day touring Smithville. And seeing all the sites used in the Movie "Hope Floats" and being films now, the "Tree of Life" starring Brad Pitt.The Conductor's Quarters is upstairs, in a building by itself in the back yard. A twin bed has been added for additional guests in the Conductor's Quarters.The Katy Tower, upstairs, is in a building by itself in the fenced back yard. There is a deck outside the room with rocking chairs. A whirlpool type tub for two has been added to the room.
