Upon entering the front door, the hallway leads to the kitchen, ahead, or to the livingroom, on the left. The side porch is to the right, before the kitchen.The original staircase with cherry bannister ascends to the bedrooms upstairs.The living room is bright, with three windows, facing south and west.  The original fireplace, is replaced with an electric fireplace, is a source of warmth on winter nights.  A collection of vcr tapes and dvds, are available for your viewing either on the television in the livingroom or in your bedroom.  A library of books are housed here for your reading relaxation.  Should you become involved in a novel, without time to finish it while visiting, take it with you.  If you have any you've read, and would like to add them to our collection for others to enjoy, please do so.  Magazines and newspapers are here, on the porches and in your rooms.  A collection of games, including puzzles, checkers and a chess table are here for your use in inclement weather or when time allows one to while the hours away as residents have in the years before electricity was installed.
The daily breakfast menu is on the wall chalkboard.  Juice, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, and/or cocoa precede a main course from our extensive menus.  Cold and hot cereals are always available.  Dietary restrictions are accomodated.  Linens, dishes, candles and centerpieces change daily, creating a different ambience to the antique fireplaced dining room.  Whenever possible the host(s) join the guests for friendly conversation at mealtime. The Eleanor room has a king size bed, private bath, electric fireplace, and wide pine floorboards.  It is air conditioned and has a feather mattress, air dried sheets and hand sewn quilt. A radio, alarm clock, telephone and TV/VCR/DVD and a selection of videotapes/DVDs are for your in room enjoyment. The room is airy, with 3 of the original windows from the early 19th century which look out upon the ever changing New England foliage!
This oyster shell pedestal sink is in the Eleanor bedroom for your convenience. It allows guests to use the bathroom, to the right of the sink, simultaneously on mornings when desiring an early start to go sightseeing.This is the Muriel room with an antique brass queen size bed, electric fireplace and private bath. It is equipped with air conditioning, overhead fan, radio, alarm clock, TV/VCR/DVD and phone  in the room. There are two windows looking into the back and side yards with views of the maple trees. The room is charming with wide pine floorboards, yet comfortable and quiet.
This oyster shell pedestal sink is in the Muriel room, allowing simultaneous use of the sink and the bathroom to it's left.  A night light is provided if you choose to use it for a handy glass of water in the nighttime.The three-season side porch is available for guests to use. This is also a great place to enjoy breakfast on a nice spring or summer morning.  A guest refrigerator and microwave are kept on this porch.  A Subway sandwich shop, and an Italian pizzeria are within easy walking distance.  Oftentimes guest will walk to the corner and bring back a meal to be enjoyed here.  A figtree with little white lights make this a cozy place to enjoy a cup of herbal tea or cold drink after the sun goes down.
