Gasthaus Switzerland Inn located on Historic Daly Ave. Sandy Hill is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Ottawa. And Daly Ave was home to many Fathers of Confederation (Sir Samuel Leonard Tilley, Sir Alexander Campbell, Sir Alexander Tilloch Galt) and our first Prime Minister, John A. Macdonald who lived just across the street from our Inn (1865 to 1872)Hotel Entrance in Spring time

For those that like it Cold there is plenty to do in Ottawa in winter!!! Bircher-Muesli - Our Signature Dish!!! This famous dish was created in Switzerland by Dr. Bircher in 1887 at his diet clinic. In 1924 it was named Bircher-Muesli and became a Swiss national tradition.
Fresh and delicious - Complimentary - Our delicious breakfast starts with • fresh ground coffee from our Swiss espresso machine, imported from the famous "Blaser Cafe" in Switzerland. Each bean is roasted to perfection, turning your cup of coffee into pure pleasure • tea • orange juice • Bircher-muesli (a Swiss cereal, you must try) • homemade bread and jam • a variety of cheeses • eggs • croissants • french-toast and • muffins • fresh fruit SNOW and FUN - Owner cleaning the Parking area. Parking; Because of our ideal downtown core location, consider leaving the car at home, because attractions are in walking distance from the Inn. You'll save money and the environment too! From the airport, a taxi ride to downtown is about $30.00CND and, the local bus #97 is $3.00. Onsite parking available at the rate of $12.00 per night per vehicle on a first come first serve basis (3pm to 2pm next day). No in-and-out privilages.
