As you walk through the door, you’ll be transported back in time to a slower, more elegant era, a time when there was beautiful woodwork throughout the house. That beautiful woodwork on the massive fireplace mantel and crown moulding in living room is Mexican Tabasco mahogany, said to be mined out of the Gulf of Mexico in the late 1800's - early 1900's. The construction of the McNeill Stone Mansion was started in 1908 and took over a year to finish. It had every convenience known at the time which included a central vacuum.
