Enigmatic Artist Beatrice Turner Called Cliffside Inn Home For 40 Years. Her Mysterious Story And Provocative Artwork Have Been Covered Widely From The New York Times To Life Magazine, Good Morning America And A Book. While Most Of Her Artwork Is Still Missing, Our Collection Is On View Throughout The Inn.The Cliffside Manor House Was Built In 1876 By Maryland Governor Thomas Swann As A "Summer Cottage." But It Was From 1907 - 1948 That Legendary Artist Beatrice Turner And Her Parents From Philadelphia Lived In The Home.
