Review La Dauphine, Residence des Artistes, New Orleans, LA

Video

La Dauphine Residence is a non-smoking, unpretentious, guest house for the budget-minded, carefree traveler. The house is located in the bohemian, gay, artsy Faubourg Marigny where many who work in the French Quarter (a 7 minutes/four-block walk) choose to live. A village atmosphere prevails thoughout the neighborhood. Ample parking is available on the street in front of the house. The Alec Baldwin Suite features a a Louisiana cypress four-poster bed in which Alec made love to Kelly Lynch in the movie Heaven's Prisoner, filmed locally. All rooms have queen-size bed (mostly 4-posters), a wash basin en suite and a private bathroom. Rates are higher for special events such as Mardi Gras, Southern Decadence, JazzFest and Halloween. A 3-night minimum is required at all times. Phone, cable TV/VCR/DVD is in each room. The atmosphere is very relaxed and unpretentious. No "attitude" here :-)
