The Plantation Room ....The original master suite with Queen Belmont bedding,antique armoire, bright airy feeling, fireplace with original mantle and adjoining room that can double as a sitting room with double trundle bed overlooking gardens. The bath has a beautiful, converted sideboard vanity with tub and shower. Can accomodate 4 persons.Additional sleeping for the Plantation Room.
The Horizon Room, elegant and sunny, overlooks the lush back gardens. Beautiful antiques accentuate a 4-poster pineapple bed and bedside secretary. The trickling pond and fountain create a soothing effect of calm and tranquility. The bath is large with original ceramic flooring, tub and shower.The Horizon Room 's large bath with original tile, tub and shower.
The Bouligny Room has a neoclassic flavor with mahogany, queen, sleigh bed draped in rich fabrics, creating a backdrop of elegance and romance. An antique, mahogany armoire and other European antiques compliment the setting. The bath has original pedestal sink and clawfoot tub with shower.Relax and enjoy a glass of wine in our tropical courtyard.
Southern Comfort is a gracious Center Hall Cottage, a design used in the 1800's to accomodate the climate of New Orleans. With both the front and rear exterior doors open the natural breezes would flow through the house.Enjoy a delicious full gourmet breakfast each morning. Guests can also choose to enjoy that first morning cup of coffee on the front verandah or in the tranquil rear garden.
We also make the most wonderful banana waffles with pecans and cane syrup!
