Laura's Victorian Bed and Breakfast was built in the late nineteenth century by Abraham and Evelyn Mier. The Miers raised two sons in the home; Everett born in 1898 and Durbin, born in 1902. Owner-operator, Laura Scott purchased the home in 2001 and has been restoring and customizing it to accommodate guests in comfort and privacy. The Inn features leather walls in the foyer from Marshall Fields in Chicago, beautiful hardwood floors and extravagant architecture throughout.

This is the smallest, coziest, of all..It is furnished with a full size bed, small dresser and a wingback chair. It is nestled in the back corner next to the maids stairway that leads down to the kitchen. That stairway is narrow and not intended for guest, if you get caught using it you will surely be "put to work"...Trust me in this room you will be the first to "smell the breakfast" So find the "front" stairway and make your way to the dining room for your candle light breakfast..And this room shares the bath with the guest room, again you only have to share if I'm full...Again this room is furnished with an in room airconditioner and ceiling fan. This room is furnished with a full size antique waterfall walnut bedroom suit, along with a fainting sofa, chair and writing desk. The chair is next to the window which makes it a perfect place to read.. Grab a book from my library or bring your favorite. This room also has in room air conditioning plus a ceiling fan for your added comfort. The bath for this room is right across the hall and is shared with the maids room, but only if someone is occupying it. The bath has a claw foot tub with a hand held shower. In the morning a full candle lit breakfast will be served to you in the dinng room.
After a day of shopping or sight seeing please feel free to make yourself comfortable on our "Front porch"
The Master bedroom is our largest room. It has a King size bed along with a full size bed, perfect for families or those girlfriend get aways!! It also has two comfy wingback chairs, a cushioned bench, and padded cedar chest for extra seating. The furniture in this room is antique east-lake walnut and the dressers have marble tops. This room also has a private bath with a shower. After a good nights rest come downstairs to the dining room for a Full Hot Breakfast.
