The Lodge on Lake Lure is a large, rambling structure situated to afford a sweeping view of Lake Lure and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Its great room is warm and inviting with vaulted ceilings, hand-hewn beams, walls of wormy chestnut, and a huge gristmill stone embedded in the twenty-foot-tall stone fireplace.
Through the French doors is the dining sunporch with lots of glass for enjoyment of the scenery. Also on the main floor is a reading room furnished with books, games, big-screen television and video player--and there's a fireplace there, too.
