Stay in our historic 1848 former Sea Captain's House!Enjoy the patio and garden area while at the Inn. Glorious flowers abound all summer long. Sip an iced tea or just relax after a long drive to Freeport.
Take a relaxing swim in our in-ground heated pool! The Freeport Clipper Inn's setting is residential, but only 1/2 block from Freeport Village. Easy walking distance!
Yep! Winter in Maine! Come to the Inn before Christmas and enjoy hot, mulled cider and freshly made pastries.Say "Hello" to Moxie, our official Inn greeter! She loves everyone and loves to play!
"Captain Ron" (US Navy Retired) will be more than happy to get you beauties like these from our local lobster wharf in South Freeport. Grill them in the Inn's picnic area (with picnic tables and chairs) next to the pool!Nearby beaches and parks are within easy driving distance from the Inn. We can get you there along with a picnic lunch, beach towels, chairs, and a beach umbrella!!
Our library is a great place to unwind by the fireplace after a long drive to the Inn. Kick your shoes off and enjoy a glass of cream sherry, iced tea, or cold lemonade.
Torque up your laptop and get on WiFi to stay in touch!Along with her talented staff, Chef Barbara (a graduate of the United States Personal Chef Institute) prepares and serves a superb complimentary full Gourmet Breakfast including "Lobster Benedict," "Maryland Crab Cakes," and her "Mardi Gras 'Throw Me Somthin' Mistah' Quiche."
Our "Captain's Dining Room" is one of our two dining rooms that is just the place for breakfast - and Barb's "Lobster Quiche" on weekend mornings. Our specially brewed coffee, juices, and home made pastries will await you each morning after a restful night's sleep. The "Great Republic" room is named after one of the greatest Clipper ships of all time. Portraits of the Inn's former owner (a New England Master Mariner), his wife and children overlook this historic bedroom.
All of our rooms are named after famous clipper ships, as Freeport was home to many of them that were built here.

The "Ocean Monarch" is just one of seven comfortable rooms with private bath. Air conditioned, Queen bed, hand made quilts, down filled feather mattresses, lounging chair, with complimentary soaps, lotions, and bottled water are all included.
Our magnificent "Sea Captain's Stairway" built in 1848 takes you up to the Inn's seven bedrooms. The Inn still maintains all of the original pumpkin pine floors, wainscoting - and the "Maine Cottage" atmosphere that will transport you back in time.
