The farmhouse was built in 1926 with lumber hewn and sawed off the property. Several additions over the years have resulted in a spacious, comfortable home. The gardens are an on-going labor of love which will probably never be completed as long as there is still ground available to plant.

Sample Fincastle's wines in our beautiful tasting room, relax in a rocker on the front porch, or sit under the pergola and enjoy the water gardens. The farmhouse was built in 1926 with lumber hewn and sawed off the property. Breakfast is served in the dining room, or on the front porch, weather permitting. A selection of fruit juices, coffee and teas begin each meal. Fresh fruit in season and an assortment of yogurts follow, then the entrees, which may range from bacon, eggs and oven roasted potatoes to French toast, sausage and baked apples. Food allergies or special dislikes are cheerfully accommodated.Decorated in sunny yellows and soft blues, the East room glows in the rising sun. The comfortable queen sized bed is framed by a lovely antique headboard that has been passed down from the owner's great grandparents. There are two Queen Anne wing chairs for viewing the flat screen TV, reading, or just relaxing.
