400 paces from the Inn is a crystal clear lake enveloped by a forest of Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron and Hemlock. Laurel path encircles the lake past streams and boulders to the old fashioned Beach & Boat Club. In summer Swimmers, Sailboats and Canoes ply the waters. Much of the beauty of Eagles Mere is protected by a Nature Conservancy and State Forests. Trails range from two miles to over 50, leading to waterfalls, trout filled streams, bird filled forests and "can see forever" vistas. Take a brief drive to a beautiful mountaintop for sunsets and spectacular Fall foliage.
