The fireplaced dining room with inviting antique decor is an alternative to the screened patio overlooking the secluded lawn with perennial gardens for the expanded continental breakfast with european flair.The first floor Rose guest room welcomes you with a sitting vestibule, complete with Govenor Winthrop desk. From here you have access to the beautifully tiled and wallpapered private bath and the comfortable mahogany furnished bedroom with four-poster queen bed and fireplace. Enjoy the fireplace candelabra anytime of year.
The five mile long strip of sandy beach has access to the ocean on its east side and to the bay on its west side.You can enjoy the gloriously colorful sunrise and sunset.Swimming,fishing,flying a kite,walking or just relaxing can be a great respite.Powder Point Bed and Breakfast enjoys a great location on a peninsula in Duxbury Bay.Connecting the peninsula to the five mile long beach is a wooden bridge said to be the longest of its kind in the United States.From the base of the peninsula is access to a village referred to as Nantucket on the Mainland.Its quaint and historic sites and ship building districts are just plain fun to explore as are the antique and other fine shops.
