The old plantation road into Sleepy Hollow. John C. and Floride Calhoun would have taken a path on the plantation to visit the old town of Pendleton.The mid-Victorian period barn architecture is unique to the South. Built in 1890 and now on the National Register the barn was built to house 50 head. Today it is used for events such as weddings, receptions, and small parties.
Colonel Stribling's room features heart pine floors, a coal fireplace used for decoration, a king size bed, a wired or wireless connection and a claw foot bath tub. The ceilings and some walls are hand planed 8 to 10 inch boards finished with historical milk paint. A single board wall graces this room and takes you back to its antebellum past.Anna's Room has been decorated in a mid-Victorian style in keeping with the 1890 period. The ceiling above is circa 1837 and is exposed to give a peek into the original look into an earlier period. The room overlooks the entrance to the home. A famous Clemson coach's wife was born here. The room has a sink within for convenience. The bed is a queen and wired internet is available
