The original log cabin built ca. 1699 known as the Boy's Cabin for when Roger Thompson, the original settler in central Virginia, married a widow with sons who lived there and built a larger cottage just adjacent for themselves. This cabin has been used continuously since then as a schoolhouse, then as slave quarters, storage shed, and as guest quarters. This cabin is tiny with full size antique bed, working fireplace, modern double Jacuzzi bath, and private deck overlooking the swimming pool.
