Each morning from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m., guests are treated to a full, complimentary breakfast with choices such as: Apple Bread French Toast Blueberry Pancakes with Lucerne Maple Syrup Corned Beef Hash with a Poached Farm Egg, or a Local Goat Cheese Omelette with Fresh Herbs. Lighter options are also offered including: Cereals Homemade granola Fresh fruit Whole milk organic yogurt, and Dried cranberry scones Those guests wishing to take a garden stroll or watch the sunrise before breakfast can help themselves to coffee and tea at 7:00 a.m. in the front foyer.The fifteen miles that separate Castine from Route 1, the main tourist artery along the coast, shield the town from the frenzy that many coastal towns experience during the summer. At the same time, its central location in the Penobscot Bay area makes Castine a perfect base for exploring a widely diverse section of the Maine coast.
