Morning breaking on our wrap around porch. A different panorama each day!Morning sun rising over the Lovill House. Protected and secluded on three sides by wooded mountain ridges, discreetly hidden from the road by 140 hemlocks in an 18 ft hedge. Close to Old Town Boone, but located far enough away for quiet and privacy.
Bristol Room: with wood burning fireplace, king size bed, full private bath. Sleeps two. On the ground floor. Restored original hard wide pine plank flooring and wormy chesnut beams. A wood lovers delight! The guest's living room. Comfortable and welcoming, available 24 hours, the living room is where we often gather in colder months for social hour. Daily newspapers, copies of local restaurant menus, wood burning fireplace, soft music, cards and games, and a library await our guests.
Spring House Room is one of six rooms, unique as our only cottage. Very romantic and private, with queen sized bed, full private bath and private deck, propane fireplace, TV/VCR and WiFi, desk work area and coffee/tea station. Beautiful garden views looking out. Private drive. The Lenoir room has a queen size bed, is upstairs in the inn, and receives the most light of all our rooms. The love seat faces the TV/VCR cabinet. The room also has a full private bath, Wifi capability, secluded views, and in room heat and overhead fan controls. Always cheery and sunny even on bad weather or gloomy days.
The wrap around porch is a favorite place to gather to meet new friends, listen to the birds, or read that favorite book of yours. The rocking chairs beckon, breezy and cool....rain or shine folks gather to enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air!The Spring House is our cottage, and only room not in the inn. This is our choice for the romantics. It has its own parking apron, is level in its approach, exceptionally quiet, yet close to the inn for all your needs. A private deck and year round propane fireplace help make it a special choice!
The Baldwin room has a king sized bed, and gets alot of light. Sofa couch faces the TV/VCR Cabinet. Room also has a working desk, full private bath, WiFi, in room heat control and overhead fan. This room is on the second floor of the inn. Cozy, quiet, and very comfortable.Dining Room and living room common areas. Serving a full hot breakfast each morning. Scott's favorite room. Queen sized bed, all windows look out at the secluded side of the yard towards the stream bed. Two glider rocker chairs face the TV/VCR cabinet. Linville has a full private bath, large walk in closet, WiFi capability, and in room heat control and overhead fans. Great for those who like to stretch out or for long stays. Perennial flowers abound during 3 seasons in our 12 gardens. Come, relax, reconnect. Steps away from the stream, swing gazebo and hammock. Choose your spot!
A favorite location most of the year...our wraparound porch with numerous rockers. Bring your favorite book and drink from the kitchen fridge. Listen to the songbirds. Meet new friends or just relax and recharge. Always a nice breeze. The Limelight Hydrangea tree outside of the inn in over 130 years old. Our inn is well shielded from both noise and the summer heat. Shaded areas abound.
Our old working barn dates to the early 1900's. Over 3 acres of walking, gardens, water fall and stream, the barn is surronded by picnic table and a swing gazebo. It's location gives it a commanding view of the inn and out buildings. We are surronded by 8 acres of wooded ridges on three sides. Very quiet, secluded, and romantic.
