Located on the first floor, this comfortable sitting room features a gas fireplace and TV with cable hidden in the built custom cabintsGuests are treated to a continental style breakfast each morning served in the sunny breakfast nook. The curved bay window overlooks the quiet, privately landscaped backyard.
One of the best features of the home includes grand front and rear porches, where guests are encouraged to enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood.
Des Affiches was custom built by the owners who wanted a home with authentic, turn of the century craftsmanship, and Victorian grace, yet with today's modern amenities. The entry foyer includes tall ceilings, carved staircase railings, hardwood paneling and concealed elevator, providing access to all floors of the home. Located just over the boarder from Washington DC in Bethesda Maryland. This woodsy and hilly neighborhood is known as Glen Echo Heights, and boarders the Potomac River, just east of MacArthur Blvd. This home offers easy driving to Georgetown, Georgetown University, as well as the National Institute of Health and the National Naval Medical Center.
