This was our 4th stay at Victorian Inn, and that alone says it all! And we're locals! It's always beautiful and pristine, and the breakfast never disappoints. We even got family to rent a room here last week, and they loved it, too - especially the food! And the innkeeper, Barbie, is as sweet and wonderful as can be. Enjoy!
Great and relaxing place to stay! The rooms are very comfortable and the host is diligent about making sure everything is perfect! We will definitely stay there again during our next visit to Pensacola!
Me and my husband were on our honeymoon and we stayed here for one night while on our way to destin. We were amazed at how beautiful the Victorian home was the room we stayed in "Elizabeth's room" was gorgeous and the breakfast we were treated to in the morning was spectacular. I hope to stay again soon.
This is a lovely old building with all the quirks and foibles you might expect from a house if this age. Although very close to the modern highway it is also walking distance to the weekly Farmers Market and historic old town. The very knowledgeable hostess is extremely helpful in telling you the best places to eat, drink and visit. A real home from home :)
Barbee was a fantastic host. My stay at the Pensacola Victorian B&B was pleasant and everything I had hoped. The room was perfect and the ambiance was very warm and inviting. I would certainly stay her again.
We were delighted with our stay at the Pensacola Victorian Bed and Breakfast. The house itself is breathtakingly beautiful and very appropriately furnished and appointed, the breakfasts were outstanding, and Barbee is extremely hospitable and friendly. We would highly recommend staying here.
This is the second time we have stayed at the Pensacola Victorian B&B. We live near P'cola and visit often. Every once in a while, we like to let our hair down and don't want to drive 45 minutes home. It's nice to go down to Seville Quarter, have a good time and then walk home to a comfortable house. Very pleasant. Very Friendly.
This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast. We chose this one because of the history of the house, which was built in the 1800s! We absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Captains room, which had its own little dining area and lots of windows! The entire house was great and Barbee was very nice! I can't wait to stay here the next time we are traveling through.
I was visiting Pensacola for work and decided to stay at this charming bed and breakfast during my stay. Not only was the location convenient, but the house itself is a beautiful living piece of history. The rooms are comfortable and elegant and the innkeeper Barbee makes you feel at home. The breakfast the following morning was delicious and filling. There was an offering of fresh fruit salad, waffles and quiche with coffee and juice. It was an awesome experience. The only thing to complain about was that we couldn't stay longer. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.
This is a lovely historic house that is pleasant to stay in. It is conveniently located near Palafox street which has much to see. The breakfast is terrific and the caretaker Barbee is a delight. Ask her about Jacque Cousteau. The only complaint I have is that she really needs to close off the toilet area in Suzannes's room and add a door for privacy. This is the only reason I scored the room below average.
We stayed at this B&B during the weekend of October 10th, 2015 and had a wonderful time. Barbee is very kind, sweet and accommodating. The house is an old Victorian home full of charm, privacy and comfort. I cannot imagine that we will ever stay at a different place when we return to Pensacola, FL. This will be our "home away from home". I must add that Barbee makes delicious homemade breakfast every morning and she is an excellent baker. I am very thankful that we found this delightful place!
I often just pick a 'chain' hotel when i'm traveling but this caught my eye when I was online and I knew immediately I wanted to stay here. The 'vibe' was just right, the price affordable and the location perfect. How lovely to check in to such a warm and inviting place and such a hospitable host after a long drive from Jacksonville! Barbee gave me some local maps and pointed me in the direction of local sites and restaurants. She also checked with me to see if there were any dietary restrictions regarding breakfast. The waffle and fresh fruit and breakfast were fantastic.
This is a beautiful old home in a great location that needs a bit of elbow grease. Things are starting to get a bit used and shabby at the edges, but a pleasant stay anyways. The owner is friendly, very attentive and helpful with any food restrictions. Our bed was comfortable, room was spacious and comfortable with the addition of a window unit a/c and a standing fan to assist the central a/c. Had our own private bathroom which was a plus. Only a couple of minutes drive to downtown and all the action, the restaurants and bars, historic sites.
My husband and I came here on our first vacation since I finished chemo and for our 7-year anniversary. We immediately fell in love. The atmosphere, friendliness, music, tea, pastries.... all fit the time period and was just was we were hoping we would find. We even had a hard time leaving the parlor or porch in the evenings to explore downtown. Being in our early 30's and knowing bartenders in the area, that is really saying something! We felt at home from the beginning. Barbee was amazing as a host and as a chef. Do not miss the breakfast!! We are already planning a trip back here with my family. Do yourself a favor... do not stay at a hotel, stay here!
The house is a fantastic old Victorian style with much of its original charm intact. Barbee is an excellent hostess and quite the cook. It's easy to find and is on a quiet street in Pensacola City, only 20 minutes from Pensacola Beach. Would recommend.
My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. The house is charming and the innkeeper is very sweet and charming. It is easy to get to and very close to town and the beach. I guess I didn't do enough research because we were surprised that the bathroom for Victoria's room is not connected but rather across the hall. However, it did have a sign reserving it for our use only so we never had any problems. Our bed was comfortable but the bed creaks anytime you move or get in or out. The breakfast was good and served at a time convenient for us. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
We stayed only one night and it was enjoyable. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings reflected the Victorian era. Location was great! We asked Barbee for directions to the beach and a good place to eat and really enjoyed the meal! The breakfast was delicious and her butter cake, which is left out in the afternoon is to die for!
