My fiance and I stayed at Faunbrook in May 2014. We had a lovely time. The grounds are beautiful. The restored historic house was elegant, clean, and comfortable. The B&B owner and staff were friendly and professional. The location is perfect; there is a beautiful and easy 5 - 10 minute walk into the center of town. We would definitely recommend this B&B.

I was in West Chester for a short conference, and was not interested in staying at the two hotels in town recommended by the conference, so I stayed at Faunbrook instead - what a great decision that was! My room (Isabel) was beautiful, and made me feel like a queen. It had a big, comfy canopy bed, lots of space and pretty details, and a wonderful, claw foot tub in the bathroom. There is a soap/bath products store in town - Silvanus - where I purchased some wonderful lavender bubble bath to use for my evening bubble bath. The breakfast was wonderful, too. The first morning, we had fabulous raspberry pancakes and a veggie frittata (I don't eat meat). The second morning, I they made me another kind of veggie frittata along with delicious scones. The coffee was great, too! The owner is very friendly, and the downstairs area inviting with lots of books, including a photo album with photos and articles about the Darlington family and past owners of Faunbrook - not to be missed! Faunbrook is also an easy walk into West Chester, so I walked back and forth to the conference one day as well. All, in all, a perfect stay at the Faunbook and visit to West Chester.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. The quality, friendliness and value make this place great. We plan on coming back.

Longwood Gardens are a must. West Chester and Kennett Square are nice towns to walk around.

My husband and I stayed here in early October, visiting our daughter at her boarding school nearby. The B&B itself is gorgeous: the big yard, giving a feeling of being out in the country, the lovingly restored and maintained historic house, and the beautiful, luxuriously-appointed guest rooms. But the icing on the cake (literally) was the extra effort our hosts went to for us. It was our daughter's birthday, and they let us stage a little celebration for her in the dining room that night; we brought the cake and candles, and they supplied plates, napkins, forks, cake server, etc, and cleaned up afterwards. It was her first birthday away from home, and it really helped to be able to celebrate it in a beautiful, home-like setting. Then they got up quite early the next morning, to serve us breakfast before we had to leave for the Parents' Day activities. Thank you so much!
