Sharpe's House Bed & Breakfast

  • Inn Details

Nestled on 15 acres in Pennsylvania's "Endless Mountains," Sharpe's House is a circa 1908 farmhouse, lovingly restored by Harry and Dorothy Sharpe. You'll enjoy real small-town hospitality and some of the prettiest scenery in the Northeast; if your're lucky, you might even spot a deer or two drinking from the pond down the hill.

My wife and I stayed with the Sharpe's (Harry and Dorothy) in early May of 2010. Everything about the outfit was exemplary. Wonderful proprietors, immaculately clean, delicious/fresh expanded continental breakfast, beautiful grounds (I'm bringing my swimming trunks next time Harry and try the pond!), quiet setting, and the price was TOO reasonable! I will stay there again and would recommend it to anyone(or anyone I thought deserved it! Too nice a place to recommend it to "just" anyone). Thanks a Bunch Dorothy and Harry! See you folks this summer when we come back to visit our Grandson. Brian and Melissa Connely

This was the first time I stayed in a B&B (my wife had stayed in one previously). We were actually coming to Tunkhannock for a job interview and the employer put us up here. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice a stay was at a B&B. The Sharpe's are the sweetest people who know so much about the area. We had some great chats with them during our stay! The room was extremely comfortable with a great view. We especially appreciated the individual sink in the guest room since there was a shared bathroom for the guest rooms. Even with someone else staying we never crossed paths in the bathroom and the Sharpe's kept it immaculately clean. And for me, who always has his laptop attached at the hip, the wireless internet was great! There is no TV in the room but that is all the better. Helps to connect with your spouse better. But there is a lovely living room area that is comfortable with cable television. The best part was the breakfast! Continental is putting it mildly! Fresh fruit, fresh baked muffins, juice, coffee, tea, cereal. It was excellent! And when we left, Mr. Sharpe filled a travel disposable mug of coffee for me as I went out the door. This was service! The grounds are beautiful (15 acres in the "Endless Mountains" region of North-East PA). The only negative thing at all for some would be the shared bathroom and no TV in the rooms. It did not bother us particularly but that could have been the only thing that I would necessarily improve. I would heartily recommend staying in this beautiful home with the Sharpe's!

A beautiful home in a beautiful place. If you want peace and quiet, this place is for you. The rooms are clean, the decor quaint and homey. This B&B is first rate. Close to great dining and outdoor adventure.

Sharpe's house is an inexpensive get away, located in a beautiful place. I liked the house, it was very clean, the owners were nice, but it does'nt have a full breakfast, and it has a shared bathroom, and no TV in your room. But the price is right, and the grounds are awesome, plus Tunkhannock is a nice little town. Overall I would recommend it.

    Enjoyable night !!
