The Fireplace and Wing Chair in the Swan Room, coziness personified.Silver on Alencon lace, waiting for the frangipane tarts, barquettes au marron, choux paste swans, and rigo jansi served at one of our tea parties.
The Dawn Room with all its Wicker and Red QuiltsHistoric hall bath! Pure confectionery with a lavender art-glass church window to light up a room that lacks only a view.
Our venerable split-pine tree will live forever in the mosaic of this third floor bath. Designed by Mary Lou Coolige from Amanda McQuade's drawing.King-sized brass canopy bed in Swan Room. One of only 50 made.
Fruit course of Peaches and Raspberry Sauce with a Sweet Woodruff spray as garnish. Our new sign and driveway with uplighting to guide you on a dark night.
The Folly/Gazebo is the perfect spot to repeat your vows at the Chatelaine's Weddings al Fresco.
A birdseye view of the Chatelaine as the Golden Eagle might see us on the Northward trek to Canada each March and April.
An vintage black and white photo of this olde house in 1934 just after the Stephen's family bought the farm and before the side porch was enclosed to form the office with its incredible 12osome office drawers and a desk area for four. We long to restore the galleries around the two porches. The Wilderness Room is part of our third floor suite and is filled with horn and twig pieces and rawhide drapery swags. Ceramic stump planters form the bases for two glass-topped tables in a room with wonderfull wallpaper called Gobelin Forest. Romanitc, no! but wonderful for sturdy souls who love the outdoors and our collection of bears.
