Enjoyed our second stay as much as the first!

    May 29, 2013

Carol and Rowland are gracious hosts who strive to make you feel very comfortable in their home. Loved the bridal suite again! We met others who were there for return visits also. I adore the Nubian goats as they are so sweet. They actually responded to my "Come on guys" by marching in a straight line down the path towards me, expecting more cookies and love! I'm sure they miss the "goat lady" and her camera!

Great stay at Quill Haven in August 2012

    December 19, 2012

My wife, Joan and I were so happy to find such a friendly and comfortable B & B on our 3 day trip to Laural Highlands in August. Carol met us as she was working in the yard and brought us into Quill Haven and introduced us to all the "goodies". Then escorted us to our upstairs bedroom - even offering to carry our suitcases. Our stay was very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious, Carol was very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants and places to photograph. We will definitely return to Quill Haven.

Such an Unexpected and Lovely Surprise!

    December 13, 2012

My girlfriend and I had a car breakdown during a trip, and unexpectedly needed somewhere to stay for the night. She suggested that since we had a rough day that we splurge on a bed and breakfast. I was hesitant as I assumed it would be a bit pricey. However, we found Quill Haven Inn to be incredibly affordable, especially for the amount of charm, hospitality and amenities. We called to inquire if there was a room available, and we were in luck! Not only was a room available, but since it wasn't the peak of vacation season, we had the place to ourselves, and were warmly greeted by Carol upon our arrival. She gave us a full tour, offered us a complimentary glass of wine, told us the nicest place to grab some dinner, and showed us where the hot tub was since she knew we had a long day. She made us feel incredibly at home and welcome. We had a great dinner at the restaurant she had recommended, then returned to Quill Haven to unwind in hot tub. After that we had some of the best sleep we'd had in months. We awoke to a full breakfast made for us, waiting on the dining table. Carol greeted us while we ate and we shared some wonderful conversation. It instantly felt like we had known her for years. She took our dietary requirements in mind and made a delicious spread for us, and even sent leftover homemade muffins with us for our long drive. She let us meet her goats, which are incredibly friendly! We had a very short stay, much to our dismay as we loved it so much. We have no particular reason to visit Somerset in the future, as it was a halfway point for us, but it has already been decided that we will make a tradition of visiting Quill Haven Inn, as it was a special weekend for us, that Carol made even more unique and heartwarming. I couldn't recommend it more! Thank you for everything!

    My stay at the B&B

    October 15, 2012

I meet my sister at the B&B as it is halfway between our homes. We try and do this once or twice a year. This is the first time we stayed at Quill Haven. We had such a wonderful time. Carol is exceptionally helpfull in giving you advise on where to eat, shop and such. We were in the common area in the evening and enjoyed some of the other guest while we enjoyed chatting and playing games. The breakfast in the morning was awesome too. I enjoy and meal i don't have to cook myself but this was very very good. I would stay again in a heartbeat

    Twenty Five Star Rating!!!

    October 09, 2012

We arrived in Somerset on a crisp, but moist, fall afternoon and left with the warmth of a wonderful breakfast and a sweet chat with Carol, our now-favorite innkeeper. We have stayed at inns in Maine, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia but never have we had as genuine a host as Carol. What a blessing to us. We were on a trip to visit our supporters (we are faith-supported missionaries) and she had many questions about our service. It was nice to have this stay as a respite from long days and 2,700 miles of driving through 12 states and sleeping in 11 beds in 12 nights! We awoke refreshed and hungry and the pineapple-banana bread, hot from the oven, did the trick in awakening our taste buds. The baked apples were a nice treat, too. We will do what we can to arrange future trips through Pennsylvania to include another night at the Quill Haven Country Inn, for sure! Rob and Connie Taylor - Georgia
