Old Road Guest Home

The Old Road Guest Home was wonderful. Beautiful gardens and home. Dave and Gail were very helpful and interesting. They were always there if you needed them, but not overwhelming. The house was immaculate and the atmosphere was so comfortable. We liked the idea of breakfast at anytime, rather than everyone sitting down at the same time. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable home atmosphere. Clean modern rooms and bathrooms. Lovely large yard beautifully landscaped. Excellent central location for the attractions in this area. Easy road access and ample parking. Wonderfully warm, friendly and helpful hosts. Will be staying here every time I return to this area!

The home is very clean and inviting. The breakfast was good and there was plenty. The owners were very helpful telling us places to see and shop. We will definitely go back!

We just had a great weekend at the Old Road Guest house. We went there very tired and left there very WELL RESTED!!! The place is very clean and the couple who run it are very nice. It was our second time there and we will definitely be back again.

It was a great stay. The owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. They arranged a private tour of the area for us which was fabulous and gave various recommendations of places to see. We had a grand time and will be back again.

It was a comfy and cozy home. The hosts were so kind and made sure we had everything that we needed. If we come out this way again we will definetly be staying here.

My 6 friends and I have been visiting this B&B twice a year for past 6 to7 years. Like a home away from home but even better. Very comfortable, lovely atmosphere. Great location to visit the outlets and many other attractions. Owners, Dave and Gail, very accomodating and very helpful in making suggestions for things to do in the area.

I was very happy to find Old Road Guest Home. We wanted a nice place to stay for the evening and didn't really need to have a full breakfast be part of our stay as we enjoy going out for breakfast when visiting Lancaster. The house does sit at an intersection and there is some road noise. With that said we were out most of the day and by bedtime the traffic slows and it wasn't an issue. We even got to enjoy hearing the horse and buggy carriages going by. Highly recommend.

Come to Lancaster once a year with my Mom. The Old Road Guest Home is our favorite place to stay. Dave and Gail are always so friendly and welcoming. They also give great advise to help you enjoy your visit to Lancaster.

An enjoyable stay at a lovely B & B. A beautiful home and ground. Gail and Dave receive you as they would famil and offer manyh suggestions for seeing the best of the area. A very pleasant stay.

We've been going to lancaster for years and have no desire to stay anywhere else.You can't stay anywhere this nice at this price.I don't know how or why they do it.They could easily ask for a lot more, even without the full breakfast.And for what you save you could buy a lunch and dinner. They have the Best in price,location,landscaping,owners,cleanliness(I know for a fact that they go to great extremes to keep everything very clean). Dave and Gail are like family,make you feel like your in your own home. You can tell they also put alot of time and money into the landscaping,it's beautiful! And if you don't know the area they will help educate you on where to go and eat.

We visit Lancaster 4-5 times a year and Old Road is always our first choice. In fact, if they don't have a room available, we usually reschedule our visit until they do. Beautiful home. Fantastic hosts.

We love the Old Road Guest Home and have stayed there a half dozen times, every time we go to Lancaster. It's always immaculate, rooms are very comfortable, and the owners are delightful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. We highly recommend this lovely home! Although there is not a "full" breakfast, you can indeed get full on cereal, muffins and rolls, and the most delicious homemade bread I've ever had.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is extremely clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The price can't be beat. They only serve continental breakfast which is acceptable as the price is so low for the wonderful rooms they have and the property. The owners are also wonderful people. We stay there regularly on our trips to Lancaster. And the location can't be beat!

Dave & Gail were very hospitable. Beautiful home. A great value. Next time we're in the area we will be checking the availability of staying here again.

My wife and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. Home is beautiful, well maintained. When we arrived at 4:00 pm Gail met us and asked what we were looking to do while here. She made a call and we were able to eat a meal at an Amish farm at 6:00 pm that evening. Gail and Dave were very available, friendly and we enjoyed the stay and will return again. Family run B&B for over 25 years - they are so knowledgeable and helpful about what to do/where to go/eat. If you are looking for full breakfast just beware this is not a full breakfast. However, very good continental breakfast with fresh and good pastries and breads.

Staying at the Old Road Guest home is like coming home. It is our "home away from home." Always clean and very comforting. Dave & Gail are so caring and very welcoming. We will not stay any where else.

We Old Road Guest Home for 3 nites. The web site does not do justice to this establishment. We stayed in room 6, which was very spacious and comfortable. We will stay at this B&B again. Gail, the hostess was very helpful in giving us directions to sites that we had not seen on previous visits. The rates are very affordable. We hope to return next October. JB, Indianapolis, Indiana

My wife and I have been to Old Road Guest Home many times and always enjoy our stay. The home is beautiful, well kept and clean and Dave and Gail (the owners) are extremely friendly and helpful.

the very first time my wife and I stayed at a B&B, the people that owned it were very nice, the room was neat and clean. would definitely would stay again!! or recommend it!!

We enjoyed quite a comfortable stay. The home is lovely, the bedroom was larger than expected with plenty of storage. We had a good night's sleep. We had a front room and even though the guesthouse is at the juncture of two main intersections we were not distracted by the traffic. In the evenings we sat on the porch or patio out front and watched the Amish buggys go by. The landscaping is beautiful and the relaxing area out back give a nice view and does not border another property. We were impressed with the cleanliness and the price was very reasonable. We did not have a hot breakfast, but were content with the breads and of course sticky buns. The owners were most kind and accomodating. We got clear directions to the places we wanted to see and also materials and suggestions. All in all we had a lovely stay and we would go again. The only hitch and we were informed by the Innkeeper before we arrived was Smoketown doesn't work in the GPS you need to enter Lancaster.

Their website was very easy to use in order to reserve a room. The B&B was very clean, tidy, and orderly. The Buckwalters are a gracious couple and would go out of their way to make sure our stay would be a pleasant one. We plan to reserve rooms there again. Great value!!!

We have come to consider Old Road Guest Home as our Home in Lancaster. We love the Lancaster area and visit every 3 months or so. Dave & Gail are wonderful hosts and their home is lovely and comfortable. You will love the warmth & hospitality.

A friend of mine and I stayed here and we were pleasantly surprised on how beautiful the home and grounds were. We stayed in the room with two twin beds and the room was spacious enough that we were not bumping into each other. The room had a TV, but only had basic cable channels (ie the major networks)...that was a negative for me. Their breakfast was okay...sweet rolls, bagels, english muffins, bread (toaster provided for toasting)...for those who are more health conscience I wish they would have had cereal/instant oatmeal available for guests. They did have orange juice, tea/coffee available. All in all it was a nice homelike place.

What a wonderful place! While I've been to the Lancaster area in the past and have stayed at other bed & breakfast's, this one is a keeper! Dave & Gail made us feel right at home in their beautiful home. The room was perfect and the patio & the grounds were the ultimate in relaxation! We will definitely be back to Old Road Guest Home! My husband and I spent our 2 year anniversary here. It is not a country location, but it is very central to all of the things you would want to see in the area. It is beautiful inside and they also have a very pretty garden outside. The owners were very nice and offered suggestions and directions to the interesting things around town. This is a great, quiet place to stay.
