Hotel Saxonburg
Welcome or welcome back to the Hotel Saxonburg and a 170 year old tradition of hospitality and dining, located in the Main Street Historic District of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. The oldest continually operating restaurant & bar in Butler County.
The current ownership began in the spring of 1958 when Domenic (Roomie) Gentile and his wife Jean purchased the 1832 "Hotel" with the dream of starting a restaurant. At the time, the Hotel Saxonburg was operating only as a bar. Roomie and Jean installed a grill and fryer behind the bar, and Jean began serving homemade soups, sandwiches, and spaghetti to the local patrons.
