Situated on 28 acres of the original Gruber Homestead in the beautiful Pennsylviania Dutch countryside, this 18th century settler's cabin has been totally restored. The amenities include a kitchen, bath with shower, central heat and air-conditioning, a queen-size bed, and custom made period furniture. Great care was taken to preserve the character of this centuries-old log cabin while making it a comfortable and peaceful respit.
We have miniture horses and donkeys along with 2 full- size horses that are always a hit with our guests.This is a working farm with fields of corn,wheat and hay.
It is located near fine restaurants, entertainment, outlet shopping, the new Cabalas superstore, and all the seasonal sports and entertainment this area has to offer. Blue Marsh Recreation Area, and the Blue Marsh Ski Area are within a 5-minute drive.
The peace and quiet this cabin offers make it an ideal weekend getaway and is very popular with couples celebrating special occasions.
The cabin is limited to single or double occupancy only. Cold cereals, juices, coffee, and an assortment of teas are provided. Special requests for flowers, chocolates, wine, etc. are honored for an extra charge.
