Fantastic spot

3.6 on July 18, 2016

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was great. We had breakfast in our room. Cody attended to us by setting up a table and place settings and bringing the breakfast to us. Note he had to go up and down three flights of stairs! But he was so very gracious and accommodating. He made us feel very welcome and cared for. I guess my only complaint was that I didn't think about the time of year we were staying. it was mid-July and we picked the top floor of an old house to stay in. So, it was a bit warm. Easily fixed, we just cranked the A/C for our room. And that issue is no fault of the facility. Just common sense really. But something I will consider when booking other stays at B&Bs

Innkeeper Response
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay here at the inn! The third floor is a funny thing; I personally think the suites on that floor are our most 'homey,' especially if you're treating yourself to breakfast En Suite! But you're right, it's the first part of any house to warm up during the dog days of summer - we're glad you felt at home enough to crank the AC and no harm was done, that's what it's there for! Thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts and we hope to see you again soon!

Lovely stay

4.6 on July 17, 2016

We have stayed at the Inn many times over the last 12 years and this visit was even more exceptional than previous stays. The staff is so friendly, the food is fantastic, and the inn is as beautifully appointed as ever. We will definitely return.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're always striving to one-up ourselves! We'll see you next time!

Inn at Negley

4.4 on July 12, 2016

Very nice B and B experience. Service is excellent and the breakfasts were outstanding. The inn is located in a nice neighborhood with a short walk to restaurants, shopping and local universities. Only a couple of quibbles. The beds were a little too spongy and mattresses may need to be replaced. Also the wifi service was very spotty and you had to be downstairs to get good reception. They need to update their wifi system to something that has better coverage.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to review us! We're happy to hear you enjoyed Chef Albert's made-to-order breakfasts and exploring wonderful Shadyside! And thank you for your input on the Wi-Fi - it's always good for us know where our guests feel that the house could use a little extra TLC!

Well-located BnB

4.6 on July 12, 2016

Fantastic location to get to know the neighborhoods around the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University through a walking-tour. On-site parking was very helpful. The staff were all pleasant, nice, and helpful--some offering tips on the local apartment market for a relocating professional.

Innkeeper Response
We're so happy to be your home away from home while looking at some of Pittsburgh's amazing colleges! Many of our guests who come to look at Pitt and CMU become wonderful friends and guests as they return for Move-In Day, Homecoming, presentations, and eventually graduation. We hope you and your family feel like you're on your way to becoming 'regulars' here at the Inn! Best of luck!

Fantastic

The Inn was lovely. It was very clean, comfortable and in close proximity to where we wanted to be in Shadyside. We enjoyed our stay very much and will most definitely be back. We generally only stay at Select Registry B&Bs.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to review the Inn. We're very thankful to be a part of Select Registry and love when guests know some of the benefits of staying at a Select Registry Inn - guaranteed high standards, great location, professional staff... just to name a few! Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon!

Comfortable room, attentive staff

4.6 on July 07, 2016

Comfortable and clean, great breakfasts, very attentive staff. Quiet location in a residential neighborhood. Negly is a busy street, but very little noise in our room overlooking it. Convenient off-street parking. Happy to recommend, and will come back!

Great Accommodations in Shadyside

We have stayed in dozens of B&Bs around the country, and The Inn on Negley is among the very best for location, spacious rooms, and service. We are happily scheduled to visit again in October.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to jot down your experience with us! We were happy to have you here and look forward to seeing you again in October!

The only place to stay when in Pittsburgh

5 on June 27, 2016

We have been staying at the Inn on Negley for many years and have watched it progress from our original stay to our most recent stay June 23, 2016. It is difficult to imagine they could improve upon perfection but they have and we as customers have been the ones to benefit from their efforts. Many thanks to the owners and staff for the wonderful experience. Sincerely, Jack & Geri Daly

A Shadyside Treasure

4.8 on June 15, 2016

What a delightful stay! Josh, our Innkeeper, was warm, welcoming and professional. Breakfast is made to order from a prefixe menu and simply delicious. Although in the heart of Shadyaide, the rooms are surprising,y quiet. On,y two blocks from the thriving downtown shopping scene, the Inn on Negley is a perfect retreat!

Innkeeper Response
Well shucks, we try out best! Thanks for noticing two of our best features - a talented Inn-house chef and a surprisingly quiet retreat-like feel, even though we are in one of the most vibrant and loved neighborhoods in 'The Burgh.' We were thrilled to have you here and hope to see you again soon!

Pittsburgh Gem

We stayed at the Inn on Negley for our daughter's med school graduation. The Inn was a home away from home - very comfortable without the hassles of staying in a big hotel. Access to fitness center around the corner from the Inn was most convenient.

Innkeeper Response
We're so happy to hear that you felt so at home here - that means we're doing something right! Thanks for taking the time to write your review and please consider us again when visiting Pittsburgh!
