Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast

The room in which we stayed, the Concord, was quite nice, but is on the eastern side of the house which made it difficult to sleep in since we were there on sunny days. The food, as always, was tasty and filling.

The Grape Arbor is located in a quaint town, North East, in Pa within a short drive from Erie and Lake Erie beaches. Lovely property in a pleasant setting. Easy to find and within walking distance of restaurants and antique stores. Nice trip. I Plan on going again.

We stayed at The Grape Arbor B and B this past weekend. The luxe nature of the property, comfortable classic furnishings and fabulous gourmet 4 course breakfast will have us coming back. Well situated in North East, PA, THRE WERE OVER 20 wineries in an hour radius including PA and NY.

Not only were the employees of the Grape Arbor B&B very friendly, the entire town was. We were amazed how many people came up to us and asked where we were from, gave us recommendations, shared history of the town, etc. One winery GAVE us a bottle of wine to take to dinner. A first for us! The whole experience made the Grape Arbor B&B stay even better.

My girlfriend and I stayed here on a 'mini' vacation during the Wine & Cheese Festival. We were greatly impressed with the rooms, hospitality and especially the food. Each morning the 3 course breakfast was superb. The homemade cookies in the common room were a perfect late night snack. The location is prime for anyone looking to tour the North East Wineries. The North East downtown scene, while small and closes at 6 pm, is worth a stroll through.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your time with us! We are a small town and like it that way...but you missed our First Friday on Friday night when you were here--the sidewalks and streets were buzzing!

The rooms were so well decorated. Not overdone like some Victorian houses. The food was absolutely amazing and large quantities were served. The staff was helpful and available without being intrusive. Would definitely stay here again if going back to wine country of Erie. The baking was some of the best I have had, including cookies available for snacking.

We came here late on a snowy winter's evening and everything was ready for us and the next couple of days we were treated like royalty!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Niagara room. All the little "extras," such as the library full of games and movies, to a visit from the resident cat, made the trip all the more special. The breakfast included coffee cake, fresh rolls, fruit, and a choice of a pancakes and sausage or an egg casserole -- everything tasted amazing. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I love to stay at B&B's and this one is truly one of our favorites. This is a beautiful B&B in the heart of wine country. The breakfasts were wonderful as well as all of the other nice details (coffee and cookies etc.) We highly recommend.

We were in the are to visit the many wineries and the Grape Arbor was a perfect place to end our day. It's a beautiful old home and the breakfast was great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was our first time staying at a B&B and, we will definitely do it again. We both loved our breakfast, and all the fresh baked cookies in the cookie jars. And, everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Grape Arbor was wonderful! Terrific room, plenty of privacy which i was unsure about at B&Bs. Staff was great. Absolutely loved that there were 2 cats who had the run of one of the buildings. They were very friendly and we took time to just see them. Food was exceptional. Neighborhood and the town were delightful for walking and browsing. If you stay here, don't miss going to Johnny B's restaurant, and take a short drive to The CrazY Parrot on the shore of Lake Erie. We dined at sunset and it was absolutely gorgeous view. Would love to go back to Grape Arbor and spend more than one night.

Enjoyable stay in lovely surroundings, quiet and relaxing. A wonderful filling breakfast was served with many different options. Close enough for a day trip to Niagara Falls and walking distance to local churches, park, library and historical museum. Convenient to many wineries for tours and tasting.

We loved every aspect of Grape Arbor. The monthly emails were very helpful in getting an early peek at GA, but in reality, it just did not do justice to what we actually experienced last week. We don't think that anything said would have been adequate. Our only regret was to not have experienced this during June or July, when the grounds would have been in full bloom. Our suite was devine; breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality was beyond expectations. vine, and the breakfast was great.

We were greeted by a cheerful Lady that offered to carry in our bags,we had some questions and she was so helpful. She also took the time to just chat like we were old friends. You don't find that most places. The room was very comfortable and the fact it was on the first floor,next to the fresh cookies didn't hurt either! The breakfast was one of the most delicious meals we had in a bed and breakfast. Again very nice to have someone go out of their way to help with my husbands special diet! Over all we decided we would make that visit many more times! Thanks for the great experience.

My husband and I have stayed at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast twice and plan on returning again. The rooms are beautifully done, the food is fanstastic, the innkeeper and staff are warm and friendly. Highly recommend to everyone.

Peggy and Amanda made our first experience staying at a B&B a memorable trip. We were spending a girls weekend visiting local wineries, and we didn't have to worry about anything regarding our accommodations. We were served an outstanding and fresh 4 course breakfast each morning. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff paid such close attention to detail we felt like we were at home. If every B&B experience was like this one I would not stay in a hotel ever again while traveling!!

We had a pleasant stay at the Grape Arbor B&B. The room was very clean and the breakfast was scrumptious and filling! The shared refridgerator was a nice touch to keep our bottle of wine chilled until ready to drink. We also appreciated the juice, water and soda as well as the delicious cookies that were available to the guests. The B&B itself was very quite, but we could hear the train that goes through the town. We would definitly stay at this B&B again.

We discovered the Grape Abor on our 25th Anniversary. Looking for a place just out of the way, we found the Inn located in North East, PA. The Inn concists of two, very historical buildings and Peggy will gladly tell you their story anytime, she is very proud of her Inn. This year on our 35th Anniversary, we stayed in the Isabella Room, a quiet room in the main house that really felt like home. Next morning we sat down to another of Peg's great four course breakfasts. She should really write her own cookbook. We always seem to visit the Inn in the early fall. It is a nice time of the year to go for a drive and see the vineyards, wineries and the lake. The vines this year at the rear of the Grape Abor were filled with grapes, ready to pick, must have been a good year. This year was a really great time to visit the Grape abor.

My sister and I were fortunate enough to find this B&B after countless hours of searching for the perfect place. We were convinced after reading other reviews, and began planning our stay in Erie, PA. The Inn Keeper Peggy was extremely accomodating after we told her our MANY food allergies. Her home made breakfast was to die for, and I would return in a heart beat. Our room was huge, and overlooking the main road. We didn't have trouble with any sort of noises throughout the night, and we loved the decor. Peggy kept a basket full of menus for local resteraunts which made it easier to decide where to eat. She also had a fridge stocked with cold drinks (pop, juice, water, etc;) all free for those staying. In addition, there were also delicious cookies at the entrance of the house, and a nice tea/coffee maker outside our room. Both houses were beautiful - even the outdoors area was pleasant (hammock, garden...gorgeous). I will be returning to Grape Arbor any time I stay in PA. Thank you for an amazing experience Peggy!

Erie is a nice place to visit and Grape Arbor which is North in the wine country is clean, quiet, great place to get away from the City. Breakfast was wonderful and sevice: Exceptional......

We had an absolutely perfect weekend when visiting North East PA and staying at your inn We stayed in the Riesling room,which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.The suite had a private bath and parlor with tv which was very nice to have.Breakfast was outstanding and Amanda was very helpful in giving tips on where to go and always had a smile and pleasant attitude.Very relaxing and enjoyable stay.Would return to Grape Arbor for sure.

We stayed in the Niagara Room, which was lovely and comfortable. The B&B itself was beautifully decorated. The cookies were plentiful and tasty, and the breakfast delicious! Can't wait to come back.

Four middle aged couples headed west to North East for a wine tasting weekend. We stayed at the Grape Arbor B&B. Excellent choice. Rooms are very spacious, clean, and decorated beautifully. Amanda checked us in and also was our server at breakfast. Very pleasant girl always willing to answer any questions and help us on our way. Breakfast was scrumptious with more than enough to eat. The homemade cookies all day long were an added treat. The train does go often and whistles quite a bit. Otherwise, very quiet town. Peggy was a very gracious host. Even brought candles out to us on the patio at night so we weren't in the dark. I would definitely choose thias B&B again.

We were looking for a quiet get a way at a reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and decorated nicely. The girl who greeted us and cooked breakfast was very friendly. Great food and the cookies, candy and coffee was an added treat.

Forget the chains when traveling along I-90 and stay at Grape Arbor Inn.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Grape Arbor. We made a mistake by eating food in the near vacinity, it was less than edible. The breakfast served daily was absolutely wonderful. Great selection and quality. I loved Amanda she was friendly and very informative.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grape Arbor B&B. The room was comfy and the breakfasts were fantastic. Just what we needed before tasting wine at the many fabulous wineries in the area.

This was a very nice B&B. I stayed in the Concord Room. Nice size room and bright. It was very clean. Shower is a little small but it gets the job done. I didn't particularly find the town all that great.....the park is extremely nice though. I wasn't there for the town as I was staying for a short visit with someone. Peggy, the owner, was very pleasant, however, I thought Amanda was a little rough around the edges and a little too abrupt for my taste.

Perfect location to venture to Erie's Presque Isle & Maritime Museum or to the area's wine country or to the Lucy & Desi Museum in Jamestown, NY. Perfect night's sleep every night. Perfect breakfast every morning. Perfect staff offering helpful hints and cheery faces. Perfect getaway for a weekend or week. North East is a perfect little town for slowing down the pace of life.

Location was convenient to walk to shops and restaurants in downtown North East. Beautiful common areas, including outside seating to enjoy an evening glass of wine. The breakfasts were wonderful! Fresh fruit, rolls and juices in addition to a choice of two entrees each morning. Fresh baked cookies, chocolate, hot tea/coffee and cold drinks were always available. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area.

Great weekend! Lovely rooms, fabulous breakfast and hospitality. Definitely recommend this BnB if you are staying near Erie, PA! We will be back!

Enjoyed the restful getaway and flavor of the new local vineyards.

We were pleasantly surprised by the venue. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rustic but updated. The food was fantastic!!! and all the guys camped out at the fresh cookie jars!! Wasnt sure about the owner at first. She seemed pleasantly uninterested in us and a little annoyed at times. By the end of our stay it seemed she had warmed a bit. We would definitley stay there again.

Very cute setup and breakfast was delicious. I was very suprised by the owners demeanor. She was not very hospitable & did not seem to have a sense of humor. Staff was very pleasant. Overall, we'd stay again.

This was our first time staying at the Grape Arbor and it was great! The first night there was 4 couples and in the morning they took care of all of us together for such a great breakfast! Peggy is such a great cook! And every time the guys walked past the cookie jars they ate a cookie so she was baking overtime! LOL The second morning was another great breakfast! I don't think we would stay at a hotel/motel ever again! Thanks again Peggy & staff!! :)

I must say that the Grape Arbor is a wonderful place to visit ! It is decorated beautifully , the rooms are very spacious , very clean, the value for the service and accommodations is outstanding. The Inn Keeper was so welcoming and kind, recommending dining, what to do , where to go . We will recommend this fine establishment to family and friends and most certainly stay here again. It is a wonderful place to stay and you must try it yourself ! Ohh , and did I mention the delicious breakfast.................

Charming and picturesque B&B. Quiet. Very comfortable bed and pillows. TV in room, Isabella, oddly placed on cabinet rather than across from bed. Innkeeper very accommodating bringing breakfast to room our since I chose to avoid dining area due to my cat allergy.

This B&B is 5-star all the way...from the beautiful roomy accommodations and delicious breakfasts to the quaint town where it is located! The innkeeper was friendly and helpful. I have Celiac and require a special diet. The food was incredible and gluten free! Niagara Falls is less than 2 hours away...Fort Niagara, Lake Ontario and Lake Erie are all sites worth seeing and doable in a day. We will revisit the Grape Arbor!

Great breakfasts! It was the hottest weekend of the year but even our room on the 2nd floor was cool. A really good value!

We have stayed at many B&B's. All have met or exceeded expectations in some of the areas of review. However, the Grape Arbor exceeded expectations in all areas. We look forward to our next stay over the Labor Day holiday and future visits.

Great first stay for a first honeymoon night. They will have everything ready as you ask them. Great service and food.

Despite a mix up on my part about arrival time our host was very generous and warm. Rooms are not fancy but it was good value and I felt comfortable and appreciated. I definitely recommend.

I have stayed at this B/B before and as in the past, the Grape Arbor has been wonderful! Nice staff and old but quaint accommodations offer a beautiful setting near Lake Erie. I grew up nearby and access to family and greater Erie area was an added plus. I would tell everyone that this is a special place to spend a few days or even a week. You will enjoy the breakfast as presented by Peggy and her assistants too!!

My husband and I stayed two nights at Grape Arbor and had a wonderful time. We were greated and felt very comfortable right away. All of the previous reviews were right on. When you enter the doors, it smells like freshly baked cookies, which are available throughout the day. We got a tour and noticed little details that made this place so special, such as coffee and tea available any time. Also, you can borrow a DVD, game or book. The breakfasts were amazing and definitely enough to fill you up for a while. We visited many of the local wineries in North East and loved all of the tastings. We particularly loved South Shore Winery. The people in the community were extremely friendly and what a beautiful little town. We will absolutely be back again!

6 month anniversary with my girlfriend, wanted to surprise her and it was a great stay. the only thing i wasn't sure about was whether the price was competative or not but i was willing to pay it because I had never been to the area before. I was very happy with everything. I definitely recommend the grape arbor bandb.

Sadly, I was only able to stay one night in this beautiful period home, conveniently located in the heart of the North East historic district. Next time I will definitely stay longer, as it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The spacious Niagara room was very well appointed with the attention to detail that guests truly appreciate: extra (nice, thick & fluffy!) towels, plenty of light (reading and otherwise), free Wifi (in an 1835 house!), comfortable bed and distinctive furnishings. If you want to feel "at home," and not like a room number at Holiday Inn, I recommend this lovely alternative. My only suggestion is that exterior lighting at night (if permitted in this historic district) would be very helpful, as the street is not well lit, and it's difficult to find the driveway after dark. The innkeeper has done a superlative job and is to be commended on retaining the period charm of this wonderful structure while providing modern comforts and gracious hospitality to her guests. I also fell in love with "Sweeney Todd," her gorgeous, jumbo Tuxedo cat who occasionally holds court in the parlor.

Come here for the good night's rest, the excellent breakfast, the helpful staff, and the company of the other guests. The rooms are large and comfortable. Lots of very thoughtful conveniences throughout.

Awesome time ...4 course breakfast was filled us up for our wine trail adventures. home baked cookies and chocolate very nice touch. RoKu which requires hi speed internet froze up at times. Bath mat in tub was moldy were the only complaints.

We stayed in the Merlot Suite for 2 nights and found it comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were delicious and served by Amanda each morning with efficiency and a cheerful attitude. We would stay there again!

As soon as you walk in the door, you get a tour of the features of the building, so you instantly start to think about the things you might do in the time it takes to unwind. There are a library, a living room with nearby restaurants' menus, a hallway rack filled with good brochures about the area, and a hot-drinks station upstairs. The Steuben Suite is a real suite, with two separate bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. They put on an excellent breakfast (gingerbread blueberry coffee cake, fresh fruit, piping hot egg casserole, and enormous coffee cups). The breakfast rooms are set up to have easy conversations (or not) with your fellow travelers. There are nice reminders throughout the building that you're in Pennsylvania's special wine country. In all, a very nice place to stop, reasonably priced.

The breakfasts were excellent, four course meals and a delicious and satisfying way to begin the day. The room we stayed in (Concord) has the television on the left as you enter the room, which is in an awkward position to view it comfortably. There is also a fair amount of road noise from traffic as State Route 20 passed the building. If there were good storm windows, they may dampen the traffic noise.

Our stay at Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast was fantastic!!! Peggy has thought of everything when setting up the rooms, we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic, no one can ever leave hungry that's for sure! It was such a cozy atmosphere and I would certainly recommend a stay for anyone. It was so private and relaxing :)

We had to make special arrangements for a late arrival.No problem. We were greeted, walked thru and given restaurant recommendations from the owner based on what we wanted, she had menues to look thru as well. The common rooms were just gorgeous, with home made shortbread and choco chip cookies, delicious. Room was lovely. kitchen and bathroom were clean and what you would expect, Fridge was stocked with juice, water and pop, with more available in a help yourself fridge in the common rooms. Living social deal included wine which was also in the fridge and massage which was nice. The winery tour and wine and cheese tasting was fun, all aspects of this deal were well organized. Now onto breakfast. Never had better. You get a choice of 2 different things each day. Breakfast includes a hot beverage, a plethora of juice choices, a sweet treat to start, a homemade roll, with delicious preserves, fruit and an entree. I cannot describe this food adequetly. It was outstanding with beautiful place settings and great service. 2 friendly kitties live there, they were adorable. We will be back.

Very hospitable atmosphere. Fresh coffee and cookies throughout the day and amazing 3 course country style breakfasts. Our suite was spacious and well appointed. Our host also was a wealth of information for area attractions.

My husband and I stayed for one night in the Isabella room. As others have noted, it's on the first floor near the breakfast room, so if you want to sleep late that may be an issue, but didn't bother us since we get up early anyway. Also, we didn't find the sound of the trains bothersome. Innkeeper was pleasant, room was large and clean, it's an old house so we don't expect everything to look like new. Temperature control using the fireplace was good. Breakfast was good but not outstanding (we've stayed a couple of places where the innkeepers are gourmet chefs)...the yeast waffles I had were pretty dry. Pumpkin muffins were good. Cookies and soda/coffee/tea available any time, which is nice. We would definitely recommend this place/stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this great inn. We found it conveniently located for visiting the Lake Erie wine trail. We loved the homemade cookies, and breakfast was wonderful. Thanks for everything!

We enjoyed our stay here especially the breakfasts. They were very well put together and served by Amanda, who was very attentive to us and made the meal pleasant.

We had a very pleasant stay at Grape Arbor. Aside from a noisy radiator the stay was a good one. It is also a very nice location to explore local winerys. The rooms were well appointed and clean, the service was consistent and attentive and the dining was very good (and the scones were amazing!) I would recommend this place to visitors.

The breakfasts were wonderful. I didn't realize the room was on the first floor very near all the common rooms, and this was definitely a negative. The host wasn't that friendly. I also wasn't impressed by the room. I would try a different b & b before going back to the Grape Arbor

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We purchased a 2-night stay through Living Social which also included visits and tastings at two wineries and a one hour massage for one person. We didn't really know what to expect, but we can now say the Innkeeper, Peggy, has set the bar pretty high for us from here on out! The Grape Arbor is two historic houses in the beautiful town of North East, PA. North East is on the coast of Lake Erie and is in the heart of Pennsylvania wine country. When we checked in, we were met by a very pleasant staff member who got us through the paper work and gave us a tour of the house. We were totally taken with how beautifully decorated for Christmas the house was. Each room had it's own theme and each could have been a picture right out of the Christmas Ideals magazine. We stayed in the Isabella Room on the first floor of the main house. The room was large and had a temperature controlled gas fireplace. The king-size bed was comfy and we slept like logs. Each morning we had a marvelous breakfast Peg prepared for us. The first morning we had fresh-baked, sour-cherry muffins, homemade waffles and bacon, fresh fruit, home baked pumpkin bread, juice and coffee. The second morning we had homemade cranberry scones, a bacon and egg frittata, honey-roasted pears with pomegranate and a light whipped cream. Everything was delicious! Peggy told us she loves to bake and you can really tell. Another secret is that there is a cookie jar that Peggy keeps filled with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies all day. It's hard to walk by and not take one (or two!) If you're looking for a really nice b and b experience, you should consider The Grape Arbor. We'll be going back!

First time staying there. Enjoyed the stay. Great rooms, great breakfast and Peggy was great. Enjoyed the nice relaxing stay.

I arrived around 2:30 and I entered the establishment. I knocked on the door and Peggy the innkeeper was very short with me saying that check in was 3pm.I did not know that check in was at 3 because my daughter told me while I was driving. I was not offered a seat out of the rain. I had just driven two hours to get there and I was waterlogged. I was informed that the room that I was going to have was not even rented the night before. So it should have been ready. When I made the reservation, I was asked when I would like to check in and I said 11am and nothing was said at that time. Overall, we had a really good time.

It was our first experience with a Bed and Breakfast and we both were very pleased with the accomodations and meal. Will definitely go the Bed and Breakfast route again.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20 th anniversary at the Grape Arbor B & B . It was our first time staying at a B&B. We had a wonderful experience. We stayed in a suite so we had our own bath , bedroom, and parlor. It had a very cozy fireplace to relax by at night. We had alot of privacy since we stayed in the other house (there are two) but when we went into the main house for breakfast we felt very welcome. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. We would definitely stay there again even though there are train whistles at night ,you get used to them the second night. We hope to make a return visit very soon.

The common rooms in the main house were lovely, warm & decorated for the season. I loved the main dining room (it was my favorite room) and the breakfast is phenomenal. We stayed in the Merlot Suite and loved the private entrance and private kitchen. The area is lovely (vineyards as far as the eye can see) and the foliage was in full bloom. There were a few peculiarities that could have been improved, but overall, it was a lovely trip and we will definately go back.

Beautifully maintained bed & breakfast. This was our second stay because the first was so nice and enjoyable. Peggy is a wonderful lady and makes the best breakfast and cookies ever!!! I'd highly recommend the Grape Arbor if just for a short romantic weekend get away. It's central to many wineries and reminds you of great grandma/grandma's home from back in the day!!!!

Enjoyed our stay at Grape Arbor. Breakfasts were very good. Tasty and filling. Fireplace in room a very nice touch. Innkeepers very nice and accomodating. Only one complaint - cats in the inn, and my wife is allergic. No notice beforehand. We felt this should have been mentioned on the Web site.

Wonderful weekend at the Grape Arbor B&B. Perfect location to tour Lake Erie wine country! Great, clean rooms and friendly staff. Isabella room is a little lacking on privacy (as it is downstairs near the breakfast room) - otherwise a great stay. We will most certainly be back

The house is quaint. The innkeeper and her assistant are very nice indeed, the rates are reasonable and the cats are friendly. Peeling paint and wallpaper in the Niagara Room detracts from the look of the place. The house is sandwiched between a busy Main St. and a very noisy railroad crossing ... not a restful, sleep-filled night. Breakfast was just so-so.

The Grape Arbor was very charming. We stayed in Chancellor Suite....which was not what I had hoped it to be! The bed wasn't very cozy to sleep, and there was a window to view the stair case by our bed that creeped me out! They should have a curtain on it. Also, the sounds of the trains kept us up all night! Would I go back? Probly not but maybe for the breakfast......it was yummy!

Stayed in the Chancellor room 1 night, Sunday into Monday. The room was nice and very spacious. I thought it was very comfortable. We happenned to be there the last day of the annual wine festival and the location was perfect. Walking distance to everything including great dining loactions. Quite a few wineries within a short distance as well. Loved the smell of grapes in the air!! The breakfast was "just OK", but the homemade cookies were excellent. To be fair, my wife loved the breakfast. My wife and I also disagreed about the noise. I was awakened in the morning by seemingly endless train whistles and trucks jake braking. Very annoying. However, again to be fair, my wife didn't hear a thing. Bottom line, light sleeps beware. Overall, a nice place to stay and I would recommend staying here in the future. (Bring earplugs :-))

I found the inn to be hospitable and charming, the innkeeper to be gracious and helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This was a great historic house that is a bead and breakfast. The 4 course breakfast was awesome. Would stay here again.

We stayed in the Niagra room over Labor day weekend and had a good time. The B&B is really cute, the rooms are spacious and the food (especially the chocolate chip cookies) was fantastic! The woman who owns the place was nice some of the time but a little rude at other times (nice when we were the only ones around but when other guests showed up she acted annoyed that we were walking through while she was giving a tour of the place). Still, A hostess with a little bit of an attitude is outweighed by the food and the price.

My husband and I wanted a place to spend our anniversary weekend, and the Grape Arbor Inn was the best! Breakfast every day was to die for, and there's plenty to do in the area. We'll definitely be back!

Peggy was great from the moment I met her until I left after breakfast the following morning....very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was VERY good, have you ever considered a change to Breakfast and Bed....it was that good. LOL Inn cleanliness, organization and hospitality were top notch. I if I have to find a negative from my stay I'd have to say that it was the surprising train rolling through a couple of time during the night. Thanks again for a great time.

Although our stay was only one night, it was fantastic. The room was very warm and inviting. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, cudos to the cook.

While the room was clean and nice, the innkeeper was not as friendly as we had expected. The reviews I read before our stay went on and on about the friendliness but we were definately disappointed. We felt like we were a bother to her from check-in to check-out. Our hostess at breakfast was extremely friendly, however, and the food was certainly delish!

My wife and I seek out B & B's when we travel, Grape Arbor is our favorite. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. When we haved stayed here we never have to each a lunch, the 4 course breakfasts leave us full. The breakfasts are fantastic, with something for everyone each day. The Grape Arbor was excellent--the best B&B in which we have stayed. It was very convenient and easy to find, and the food was wonderful. In addition to breakfast. there were cookies and coffee/tea available all the time. Peggy was very helpful with dining suggestions. Our room was large and on the first floor, which was great. We enjoyed meeting the resident cat also. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Very nice and large suite. We enjoyed the stay in North East PA. We were there for a Sunday Erie East High School Annual Reunion Picnic held in Harborcreek.

We wanted a nice retreat in a nice house and we got it all. The house and room is really nice and very quiet; And the breakfast outstanding. A wonderfull stay.

We stayed here for three days. It was quiet, private, and relaxing. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing!!! So were the homemade cookies that were available to snack on! The North East area is also home to amazing vineyards and there is a lot to do in the surrounding towns. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place for you!

I stayed in the Steuben Suite, and I was very impressed with everything our room and the inn had to offer. The only issue we had was with our shower - it was like a wind tunnel! But it made for a funny story and it wouldn't deter me from coming back. The breakfast was amazing, and if I am ever in that area again, I know I will be staying here.

The Grape Arbor was the first B&B that we ever stayed at. I was very impressed with the room size and the 4 course breakfast. We stayed at the B&B for a week, and enjoyed it very much. I loved the complimentary beavages and the fresh baked cookies. It is in a quiet, charming town, that is in 15 mins of great wineries and resturants. I am glad that we decided to stay at Grape Arbor than staying at a hotel, it was worth the money. I would definatly stay there again.

Very nice close to wine trail and Chautauqua. The exterior door to the suite (outside) was dirty and in need of paint. It lowered expectations immediately but upon entering the rooms we found everything to be shipshape and clean. The breakfast was superb and the location was within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The house is beautiful, the room is comfortable and uncommonly spacious, and Peggy ably met our special dietary needs. Bonus: the town is charming, a delightful place for a walk on a summer evening.

I loved my stay at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast! The minute I walked into the Arbor Room, I felt months of stress begin to melt away. Peggy, the owner, was up very early putting her loving touch on breakfast. She went above and beyond to make sure I was able to stick to my gluten free diet. She made gluten free bread and pastries taste wonderful! Whenever I head to the North Coast/Lake Erie area, I plan to stay at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast.

My husband and I recently spent five nights at Grape Arbor and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The four-course breakfasts each morning were delicious: fresh, local ingredients; variety; imagination; and excellent preparation. We especially enjoyed the cheese souffle and the baked sweet goods made with local tart cherries or rhubarb or raspberries. In addition to anticipating breakfast, we enjoyed the solitude of our room or the outside patio and especially catching up each day with Sweeney, the cat. Peggy and her staff gave us respectful space to relax but were always willing to chat and to offer info and recommendations. We were there during Cherry Festival, so it wasn't always quiet on the street, but one should anticipate this aspect since the B&B is conveniently close to downtown North East. We would most definitely stay with Peggy and Sweeney again and look forward to doing so.

My husband and I had a very relaxing and wonderful time there. The Concord room was very nice. We both liked the "never ending" choclate chip cookie jar. The inn keepers had some nice "extras" that you don't always see....like a small frige with a variery of drinks all day and the ability to have tea or coffee even when it wasn't breakfast. Breakfast was nice with having two choices and everything we had was good. The only thing that we would have preferred more for breakfast was a more community dinning situation where you could get to know the other gets better, but that is just our preference. Over all it was a great stay in a nice area and would recommend it to our friends.

The inn was very nice. The innkeepers were not available. Breakfast was ok, but not enough choices, too many carbs.

We had a wonderful stay. The suite was much larger than we could have imagined and lovely decorated with antiques. Every morning we looked forward to breakfast which was hosted beautifuly and an absolute delicious variety of courses all prepared homemade from scratch by Peggy. Hope to go back again.

We had a lovely visit! We had our ten year old son with us, and when we got to our room, she already had the sofa bed pulled out, made up, with a down comforter on top! It was very welcoming! Breakfast the next day proved to be all that was said in all of the reviews I had read. Unbelievable breakfast with beautiful presentation. We felt extremely catered to, and the food was delicious. Before we left, we enjoyed the surrounding gardens of both houses. Gorgeous. We got lots of pictures! We can't wait until our next stay. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Also, very professional.

We stayed in the concord room, very affordable. Breakfast was picture perfect and tasted even better! Would go back anytime.

Room was a good size with comfortable bed and nice bath facilities. Innkeeper was very nice. Since my husband does not like egg dishes, he was quite happy to be able to choose a main entree at breakfast.

Very nice room, very nice breakfast. Functional, that's the feeling you get, concerning the hospitality—friendly and yet very business like. That certain warmness you feel at most B&B's was not there. Not cold, mind you, just different. Maybe just a NY way of respecting our privacy? Overall, though, we would highly recommend this inn; it's a nice place to stay in the middle of an area with over twelve very nice wineries nearby. Surprising dishes for breakfast, delightfully different, and there was plenty to eat.

Grape Arbor B&B made our anniversary get-away complete. The Cabernet suite was simply amazing! It was very spacious and we loved the amenities. I cannot even begin to explain how good the breakfasts were. Peggy (the innkeeper) was very hospitable as well. The location was great. It was very nice to be in wine country and only 20 minutes from downtown Erie. My wife and I both agree that we need to come back in the fall. We would highly recommend this B&B.

...this was an awesome break from the hustle and bustle of everday life. I didn't want to leave. I will definitely love to make a return to this oasis of relaxation. The staff was awesome, they were very helpful and pleasant, available but not in your face. Being close to Lake Erie was a plus, watching the sunset in this beautiful setting only added to the experience.

Planned a one night stay while visiting Erie to avoid chain hotels. Our dog boarded at a North East animal hospital, a plus. Although Peggy accommodated dietary requests at breakfast and supplied amenities that we've come to expect at our favorite inns, we could not get any rest. The properties are located on a street with traffic noise, but continuous train whistles woke us up each time we began to drift off to sleep. Sorry we chose to ignore a previous review which noted this.

My boyfriend and I are from pittsburgh and wanted a quick getaway for memorial day. I have been to the north east region before for the wine festival and we love wine, so we decided to make up our own wine tour and stay at grape arbor B&B. when we arrived we were told about all of the amenities in the main house, like coffee, tea, soda, water, juice, cookies, a library with books, games and movies, and a few sitting areas to socialize with other guests. she showed us to our room, which was in the house next door (which we chose specifically because the bf is allergic to cats and a cat lives in the main house), and the room was wonderful. we were on the second floor in the merlot suite, we had a private entrance to our room. the bathroom was immaculately clean which i was pleased about, and the room was a good size with a comfy king bed. each room has a tv with vcr and dvd player so you can borrow a movie from the library to watch in your room. the breakfast was also delicious and the staff were very friendly when serving the breakfast. i would definitely stay here again, either as another romantic getaway or for a girls weekend.

My wife and I wanted to get away from the city and enjoy a night away in Erie's wine country. The Grape Arbor B&B was a very nice place to stay and have accessibility to the area wineries, as well as Lake Chautauqua and Presque Isle. We read various other comments regarding this B&B and had very high expectations for the breakfast - those expectations were definitely met!! A+!

This was our second stay at Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast. The accomodations are wonderful and it is in a beautiful setting nestled in amongst great wineries. Peggy makes THE best breakfasts you could ever ask for. I would highly recommend Grape Arbor and plan on returning again later in the summer with friends.

My husband and I stayed here last year for one night during the Wine & Cheese Festival and decided to stay for two nights this year. It is such a nice B&B and is so conveniently located to all wineries on the trail. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts are amazing!!! Thanks for the great getaway.

We have stayed there before and will continue to do so when we are around the Erie area. We have always enjoyed the various rooms but the biggest attraction for us is breakfast, outstanding.

Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, delicious food, great hospitality! Room was clean, location was easy to find, nicely decorated. Loved this bed & breakfast and will definitely be returning! (and I'm VERY particular!!!)

Everything the other reviewers say is true. This B&B is lovely and the breakfast outstanding. Even their cat is charming. We stayed in the Cabernet room, which was spacious and very tasteful. The only problem was that we were right near the freight train tracks, so every half an hour a train would come by honking their horn for minutes at a time. We didn't get any sleep. As soon as my husband or I would fall alsleep a horn would wake us up. We don't think of ourselves as light sleepers but I haven't seen other complaints about the noise, so pehaps we are. We were so frazzled that we seriously considered driving home at 4 am, but neither of us were awake enough to be safe. It really was lovely otherwise and we are sad that we can't stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in the Isabella room of the main house. We were welcomed by the Innkeeper who advised us she was available to help us make dinner reservations if necessary, and that drinks and cookies were available. Upon entry, the room itself had a musty smell; opening the door to the outside helped to get the air circulating. The room was quite nice, the TV was across the room as opposed to in front of the bed, but I suppose that's not so important when visiting a B&B. The room is located next to a common area/library, and you could clearly hear every word that is said in there, so be advised. It wasn't really a problem for us, however other guests didn't leave that room until 9:30 at night. For us, the breakfast the next morning was superb. That alone convinced us to return again in the future, however we would choose to stay in another room.

This place can quickly feel like home, but better with the breakfast you wake up to in the mornings.

Great old world accomodations and fantastic breakfasts. Nice ammenity with bar fridge stocked with water, juice & coffee creamers. Great home-made cookies available. My only criticisms would be the details in cleaning as I clean for a living and have certain expectations. The room was beautiful and neat and tidy but dust was visible on closet mirror doors, cabinets, door frames, window sills, and picture frames. We also have allergies to cats and although they made every effort to protect us by rooming us in the building where the cats do not go, it was evident when we had breakfast in the main house that cat's lived there as well. We had a wonderful weekend and very little effort would be required to make it the perfect stay for us..

My husband and I have been frequent guests at GRAPE ARBOR BED AND BREAKFAST. It is the ONLY place we'll stay when visiting family in the area. You will NOT be disappointed!

My fiance and I arrived and we were absolutely delighted to see how charming of a place this was. We stayed in the Concord Room and it was better than we could have imagined. The breakfasts were out of this world. If you walk away hungry it is your own fault. Fresh pastries, danishes, bread, fruit, eggs, bacon, juice, coffee and fresh baked cookies. If anyone is thinking of staying at the Grape Arbor B&B do not think about it just go and do it. You will not be disappointed at all.

My husband and I used a Groupon that we purchased for Grape Arbor B&B. We had a beautiful living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The home made chocolate chip cookes were excellent as was breakfast in the morning. It was our first time staying at a B&B that was located in a down town area and it was very nice to be able to walk to dinner & spend time in the beautiful town of North East!

My husband and I stayed at Grape Arbor B & B for our aniversary.. We had a wonderful time.. The Inkeeper (Peggy) was amazing!!! We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay.. It was quiet and elegant... Fresh cookies all day!! The breakfast both mornings was just amazing!!! Only 20 min from Erie in a small town... We can not wait to go back this summer for another stay so that we can see the grounds with all the wonderful colors for the foliage! And explore the town.... I would recommend this B & B to anyone who needed to get away.. It was worth every penny!!!

My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive get-away where we not burdened by the everyday happenings of life - we were not let down! Everything was wonderful from cleanliness to service. We live only 15 minutes away from Grape Arbor but it was a fantastic get-away.
