My wife and I visited Lancaster for Valentine's Day weekend 2015 and had a great experience at Country Hearth Bed & Breakfast. The historic building is oozing with character and is decorated beautifully. The owners have a real pride in their home and it shows. It was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay. It has all the character of Lancaster and at the same time every modern amenity that you could want. The bed was extremely comfortable, which was great after our long drive. We even had a fireplace in our room to keep warm by as that weekend was -20 to -25 degrees Fahrenheit. Record low temperatures for the area, but we were warm in our room. Definitely a testament to the old building. It's been well taken care of over the years and is the perfect place to getaway for a weekend. We'll be coming back for sure. Oh, and the breakfasts made by the owners are to die for! A real treat. Extremely friendly.

This is a great place for a relaxing stay. Stayed several times and each time was both relaxing and enjoyable. Location is great. Close to all Amish Villages, shopping, etc. David & Bonnie are very friendly and can always suggest things to do and places to see. Our room is very cozy. The fireplace in our room was a bonus! Would not stay anywhere else.

We very much enjoyed our two nights at the Country Hearth B & B. David and Bonnie were friendly hosts, making us feel very welcome in their home. The breakfasts were delicious and the home was decorated beautifully with antiques and autumn decorations. Great place to celebrate our 50th anniversary!

I ran the Garden Spot Village Marathon and stayed at the Country Hearth B & B. The room was charming, and the jacuzzi in the room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable especially for someone who had just run 26.2 miles. I would stay there even if I didn't need convenient lodging so close to the start of a wonderful race.

If you want an escape from the hectic business of life, then this is where you ought to come. This Amish town definitely slows down the pace of life a few decades. An overnight stop doesn't do justice to the environment. We stayed for 3 nights. Upon entering the B&B, David greeted us and we felt at home immediately! Along with his friendliness each room had a very homey feeling with nic-nacs and christmas decorations. Christmas music playing with clocks chiming and playing tunes as well. Bonnie is an excellent cook. Breakfasts were delicious and we were more than satisfied. David's knowledge of the area and its people is most interesting. Sometimes it was difficult to carry on with the day's activities because he was so interesting to listen to and talk with. The meal that was arranged with the Amish family was a highlight of our stay also! I would advise to get the most out of your stay here...have little to no appointments or commitments...spending about 3 days, leaving technology at home and letting the days unfold as they will. The traffic on the street can be a little noisy in the evening at times.

Perfect get away for a dose of Christmas cheers & relaxation. We enjoyed the various local shops at Kitchen Kettle & found some gifts for friends & family. We had a lovely lunch by the fire at Kling restaurant then headed to Country Heart B & B where we were welcomed by our hosts Bonnie & David. The inn is a well preserved piece of Lancaster county history. We settled in our beautiful room which featured a jacuzzi, Amish quit and antique furniture. We then joined our friends for wine in the living room by the Christmas tree. Our host David gave us insights into the home history & local history as well. David is a history buff especially Lancaster County & WWII. We had arranged with Bonnie at the time of booking for dinner at an Amish home. The experience was truly memorable. We were welcomed into the home of an Amish family where we enjoyed a home cook feast and a fun time with the whole family. We returned to the Country Heart for a night cap then a restful sleep to sounds of logs crackling in the heart of our bedroom fireplace . Next morning, Bonnie treated us to a delicious breakfast featuring some of her Amish recipes. We came back rejuvenated & with wonderful memories. Definitely, will go back .

We frequent the Lancaster area several times a year. It's a place we always enjoy coming back to. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience. My husband was a little skeptical at first. But this 1st time experience was a good choice. We both enjoyed the breakfast conversation with other guest and the hosts. We didn't miss the noise of children running down the halls as we have experienced in hotels. I know we will choose a Bed and Breakfast on our next stay.
