Your full course sit down breakfast is served in this elegant dining room under an Austrian crystal Chandalier! Wake to the smells of the wonderful breakfast that awaits you!
Elizabeth Comment from a guest that stayed in this room - " I now know what it would have been like to be a real princess! " Soak in the original claw foot tub!
Enjoy Spring, Summer and Fall on the large wrap around porch. Porches were a favorite place for Victorian socializing and just plain relaxing!
The large living (gathering room) is a special place in any season. In winter enjoy the warmth of the large fire place. Other times it is a great place to chat with other guests or relax with a book from the well stocked library. You can also enjoy a touch of Christmas in this room even in July!

We had a great stay, our room was beautiful and clean and the bathroom that went with our room was huge....loved it. The entire house is decorated so nice and Doris's cooking can't be beat. The food is great and lots of it. Doris and her husband were very sweet people and nice to talk to. Doris had a lot of ideas for things to do in the area. She provided us with books that also suggested near by activites and fun things to get in to. Awesome stay!

5 out of 5My first experience in a B&B
October 05, 2010
The Victorian Rose was wonderful. Doris and her husband go out of their way to make you feel welcome and like part of the family. She is a great cook and a fantastic conversationalist. The rooms are clean, neat and each is unique. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. When we were there Doris had all the halloween decorations out and the beginnings of Christmas. It was so beautiful and warm. Thank you Doris and hubby for a wonderful stay in your home. It was like being at home and I can't wait to come see you two again.
1.8 out of 5My worst B&B experience yet
August 25, 2010
Doris, the owner, is a terrible hostess, and she made this the worst B&B experience I have ever had. She was rude and obnoxious from the moment we met her. Also, the bathroom is not connected to the bedroom, making it very inconvenient if you need to use the bathroom late at night. The bed was very hard. You are not allowed to enter her kitchen, so there is no place to get ice or keep your drinks cold. Basically, she made us feel like intruders, and we got out of there as quickly as we could after breakfast.

This was my first stay in a B&B, and it was fabulous. Our room was comfortable. Doris was so welcoming and friendly, plus she spoiled us with a huge, yummy breakfast. We'd stay there again.
