Mt. Gretna Inn

This was our second stay at the Inn. The first time was just as incredible. The rooms we have stayed in are beautiful and luxurious. The innkeepers are welcoming and wonderful hosts. Frank's quiche is still the best quiche I've ever had and Kathy's french toast was equally satisfying. We will continue to come to the Inn as often as we can.

This place is the perfect little getaway

I don't know where to begin my rave review... every aspect of our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was cute and cozy, and the decor of the entire Inn was very tasteful. Bring an appetite to breakfast, unless you're on a diet! Very decadent. Delicious. Harry and Frank are so warm and welcoming, Saturday night we were invited to enjoy wine and cheese with them and the other guests. We had a great time and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

We spent three nights this past OCtober and had a wonderful time. The rooms are beautiful and furnished with authentic antiques. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. It was pricey but well worth it!

A nice relaxing place to spend sometime with someone special. My wife and I both agree that Kathy and her great breakfast, both days, was the best part of our stay! We had two nice dinners and some drinks at the Hideaway, just a short distance away. Park your car and enjoy.

Mt. Gretna Inn is lovely, almost elegant, and very well kept. A delightful herb garden the chef used in his delicious breakfast is in the back lawn, and the front porch is full of comfortable wicker furniture. Our only question is whether 2 owners can manage the house when both have full time jobs elsewhere. We had to notify one of the owners that our room hadn't been attended to by 6 p.m. But my sisters and I would definitely return!

My jusband and I just returned from a 2 night stay to celebrate our anniversary and to attend the Kurt Elling concert at the Playhouse. What a wonderful place to land after a long, hot summer drive! Expansive porch with lots of fern and spacious seating area. Our room, the Chestnut, is the only room with a king bed. It was superbly comfortable. Each room is delightfully different with an eclectic decor throughout. DON'T MISS BREAKFAST! It will be one of the best dining experiences EVER! Harry, one of the proprietors, goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and special. He recommended a special restaurant in Lebanon for our anniversary dinner and we were glad we took his advice! While Mt. Gretna is small, it is beautiful with many lovely homes. A small lake in a park gave us a chance to get cooled off before our concert. This is a lovely getaway for anyone seeking a quiet, lovely rural retreat! We will try to come back soon! I was raised in a house built in the early 1900's and Mt. Gretna Inn felt like going home.

Spent a wonderful (and quiet) weekend at the Mt. Gretna Inn. My wife and I were looking for a weekend to relax, read and re-charge. All three goals were met! The inn is set among the trees on a quiet street. Our room had a private porch. Nice to sip a cup of coffee. The rooms were well decorated and warm. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed conversation with the other guests. We will be back (K & C Stein) While you may go the lake, ride the bike trails from Mt. Gretna into Lebanon, this is a place to relax. By the way, we walked over to the "Hideaway" for dinner on both nights. the food is very good. Try it! Thanks

We booked the Mt. Gretna Inn because our son was appearing in a Gretna Playhouse production nearby. Other than seeing the show, we had no particular plans but to relax and enjoy the Inn -- which we very much did. It has a great front porch with comfortable seating and a lush green lawn and plantings. (We also had a private porch off our room.) The house is appointed with wonderful details and artwork. It is exceptionally fresh and clean. Each guest room has a theme and is beautifully appointed. The breakfasts were to die for! It was a real pleasure to stay at Mt. Gretna Inn. Beautiful property. Elegant dining. Comfortable bedroom, living room, and porch. Personable innkeepers. Flexible. Accomodating. My church biking groiup loved it. So did my wife and I.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mt. Gretna Inn. Very welcoming owner, Harry,not stuffy at all. Loved the beautiful Arts&Crafts building! The town in charming....not a whole lot to do there, but really enjoyed reading on the porch, walking around town looking at the happy homes, and enjoying ice cream at the Jigger Shoppe. Looks like it would be a nice place to be when all the activities are up and running during the summer.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Mt. Gretna Inn while in town for a family event. While we were simply looking for a place to stay, the Mt. Gretna Inn was a pleasant surprise. Our room (the Chestnut Suite) was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous and the service was always friendly.

We loved our mini weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. This was our 4th trip to Mt. Gretna Inn and it was better than we remember. We had a wonderful time and the room and breakfast were GREAT!!!

Mt Gretna Inn is an excellent country inn. The service is excellent and the breakfasts are superb.

Great B&B...maybe the best we have been to. Rooms were spacious, clean and wonderfully equipped. Harry is a great host and even better cook....could not have been more accomodating...Can't wait to go back....

Serving breakfast at 9AM is much too late. We were able to make coffee. There was nothing else when we left at 8AM

We come here every year. It feels like home. Harry and Frank are the best. Breakfasts are five-star.

The inn keepers and staff were very friendly & accommodating, The tables were beautifully set and the atmosphere made for easy conversation. The breakfasts were excellent. The butlers pantry with the keurig coffee machine and refrigerator were nice extras. We are looking forward to our next stay. We will definitely go back.

Harry makes the Best Eggs Benedict you will ever have. Find out what day it is on the menu because you don't want to Miss out. Reason enough to go out of your way to stay there. The home is saying relax the minute you go up the walkway. You want to forget about what you have planned and just pretend this is your home and you never have to leave.

This Inn is beautiful furnished, down to every detail. Love the hospitality room on the middle floor for coffee, fridge stocked with water, soft drinks, etc. Very inviting, huge old-fashioned front porch. Lovely area with lots to explore! Highly recommend!

Fantastic location, Mt Gretna is certainly a wonderful find in PA, and the Mt Gretna Inn makes it even better!

We have stayed at the Mt. Gretna Inn four times now and will definitely be back for more. We love the Inn, the Innkeepers, the hospitality, the delicious breakfasts, and the lovely guests we meet there.

We just returned home after spending 2 nights in the Willows room. From the beautifully decorated room, a bed to just sink into and breakfast to die for this was an absolutely wonderful experience that we recommend to anyone who would like to get away from it all and just relax. We have already booked reservations to go back next month and can't wait!

Twenty years ago, we spent several nights in the Mount Gretna Inn, including our wedding night. We loved it then and love it even more today! The rooms are beautifully decorated, the atmosphere warm, and the setting peaceful. The breakfast by Sandy was outstanding and delicious! We are planning future trips and will not let so much time go by between visits.

Although the decor in our room was not my taste (Chestnut Room/Asian) and the sitting area's furniture not very comfortable, the king size bed was comfortable with very soft sheets. The decor is dark, which would be cozier in the winter with a fire in the fireplace. The bathroom was adequate, although the shower stall was quite small. What made our stay most enjoyable, and what would bring us back again, was the hospitality shown by the staff and the breakfasts. Although the owners were out of town during our stay, the women who checked us in and served the breakfasts were delightful, and the food was absolutely delicious. The table settings were gorgeous! We also loved the front porch and the convenience to Mt. Gretna.

Rooms are large and beautifully and uniquely furnished. Very comfortable beds. The full breakfast is exceptional.

We loved the setting. We sat out on the beautiful front porch in the evening and it felt so cozy and inviting. We were also within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was fabulous and the room was lovely. We would definitely stay there again.

We've stayed at over a dozen b&b's and this one might be our favorite! Can't wait to return!

My husband and I only had a 24-hour getaway but it felt like much longer thanks to the comforting welcome and immediate relaxation we felt at this charming B&B. The location in Mt. Gretna provided seclusion and quiet, places to walk and dine casually. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfast was an elegant and superior dining experience. We will return!

My wife and I are local to the Hershey area and wanted a getaway. This spot was perfect for us. Hosts couldn't have been nicer. A wonderful weekend for us. We highly recommend this for a two day or more visit.

This was our first experience at a B&B, it was so wonderful and we cant wait to go back. The room was great, the house was beautiful, breakfast was yummy. I would highly recommend Mt Gretna Inn!!

Our stay was great! The rooms were clean and elegant in their decoration. Our Host Harry made us feel as if this were our home. Breakfast was delicious and I came to find out our host is a schooled chef! I loved the area and being close to some wonderful historical places. We were fortunate enough to spend a weekend night at the inn. Harry and Frank were great hosts, gave great recommendations and served an amazing breakfast. The inn is very well maintained, charming and beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. All in all, it was a great experience - thanks for a wonderful stay, Harry & Frank!

My wife chose the Mt Gretna Inn for an after Valentines Day getaway. We LOVED it. The room was amazing (The Willows). The hot tub was great too. Breakfast was to die for. Thanks Harry. We both thought it was a little expensive...but you do get what you pay for.

Upon our arrival we were welcomed to the Inn and immediately shown around and taken to our room. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which I so enjoyed. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding. We're hoping to make it an annual event for my husband and I. Thank you to Harry and Frank for a lovely overnight stay.

Mt. Gretna was beyond our expectations form beginning to end! It was beautiful,relaxing and immaculate. The food was absolutely fantastic!! I can't wait to return. I highly recommend it!

The regular innkeepers were not there the weekend were stayed, so I don't know if that made a difference. Breakfast is served at 9 am which, for us, is late, so coffee, tea, or snacks available before breakfast would have been nice. There is a coffee machine in the upstairs. The hot water faucet did not work for tea. There were no usual refreshments in the afternoon. Having been to many B&B, we find these to be common niceties. But, overall, we loved the place. The fireplaces were so cozy, perfect for an afternoon nap. Our room was so spacious and the bed so comfortable. Having a TV in the room was wonderful (baseball playoff time)! Breakfast was very good and we had a nice time meeting the three other couples that were staying.

Fantastic breakfast by candlelight was a meal to remember. Lovely front porch with lots of chairs to spend some quiet time sipping a drink. Our room was on the third floor and was small but adequate and the Queen bed was very comfortable. It could use a full length mirror but other than that we had no complaints. Harry, the innkeeper was very personable. Thanks for a lovely stay!

First class individuals are your Inn Keepers at Mt Gretna. They made us feel warm and welcome. We plan to stay again.

this was our first night away in about a year, plus our first stay at a B & B. We both enjoyed our stay; it was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was nice. The room was spacious and comfortable.

This is the plac to be if you want to enjoy nature & the peacefulnes of the rural countryside. The hosts make you feelright at home. The place is quaint, comfortable & the food is perfect! A place not to be missed

Loved it so much, we moved to the town.

My wife and I held an intimate 12 person wedding at the Inn complete with a small service, dinner, wedding cake, beverages and even some dancing! The inn was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the service was great. In all, our expectations were exceeded in most every way. Harry and Frank went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything went well. We look forward to returning to the Mt. Gretna Inn for years to come.

You know that getaway you always wanted where everything is perfect? Where the air is crisp and clean? Where the setting is something out of a fairy tale or a Norman Rockwell painting? This my friends, is the place! The Arts & Craft setting is something reminiscent of The Roycroft Hotel In Aurora, NY with with a touch of Victorian in there for the frill. But, not the typical cheaply done Victorian B&B's you often see in your travels. The most gracious hosts you’ll ever want to meet are here! Frank & Harry are just about the nicest guys and they will treat you like stars! They are both chefs, so you can imagine what breakfast is like! And, the locally roasted coffee they serve is the talk of the town, and it's for sale! In the summer, imagine that you’ve travelled back in time to the 40’s. Young families, a small lake surrounded by towering pines, snack counters employ local kids with manners that lead you to believe that all is not lost! The exuberence of children diving into the lake is sure to put a smile on your face...Volleyball on the sand, a big water slide and friendly people all around. Mt. Gretna is a tiny little town, surrounded by 100's of acres of protected woodland. Little summer homes are nestled in the hills as they lead uphill, blending in with the lush natural environment. So cozy, all you can say is wow! The Local ice cream shop is perfect after a day at the lake. Your kids will LOVE this place in the summer. During the fall and winter it is full of romance and THE place to get away from that stressful job. I’ve travelled all over the world and the Mt. Gretna Inn is simply the America’s best kept secret. We've been there almost 6 times in the last 2 years! Be sure to tell your friends about it.
