Friendly B&B

5 on December 14, 2014

This was our fourth visit to this charming B&B. Wendy is just the most gracious host. She makes you feel so welcome. This was our best visit ever! All the guests had stayed before, and by the end of the weekend it felt as if we had become one big family staying at our cousin's home.

The most enjoyable time ever. Outstanding hostess in ever sense of the word. This is my 3rd time here. Every visit is better than the first.

Great weekend escape

5 on November 13, 2014

From the moment we walked in the front door of Ascot house we were made to feel welcome by Wendy. The inn is very warm and cozy with beautifully decorated rooms. Our room was spacious, clean and very relaxing. The breakfast is unbelievable and started our days on the right foot. It was a much needed and relaxing weekend and we are counting the days until our return

Wonderful experience!

My husband and I stayed at Ascot House for the weekend and will again. Wendy was truly wonderful and so helpful. The house is beautiful and peaceful with a relaxing garden. The breakfasts were delicious and the company was great. We enjoyed the wine and cheese before dinner along with the conversations with Wendy. We highly recommend Ascot House.

Our third visit

5 on October 21, 2014

We keep coming back for our time away from a stressful life because we can relax in a peaceful setting. Wendy is not only a exceptional hostess but a caring and delightful person to be with. We love the atmosphere that she creates with all her guests and the opportunity to socialize with them. We will be back again often.

A Delighful Experience

5 on October 08, 2014

We are not b&b aficionados, but we do recognize warm hospitality amidst elegant ambiance when we experience it! Wendy offers not only these, but also beautifully-served appetizers and delicious breakfasts, which always include a hearty taste of her expert baking skill. She is the ideal hostess: ready to meet any need and sensitive to her guests' preferences for company, yet always ready to entertain with many an interesting account from her life and interests. Every guest must surely leave as her friend, blessed by her gift of hospitality, just as we did! Ron and Barb

A quiet get-away with outstanding service.

Beautifully decorated rooms. Lovely garden. A delightful cheese/cracker/fresh fruit tray and ice cold lemonade delivered right to our door! Friendly staff who made us feel at home the minute we walked in the door.

A Truly Memorable Birthday Surprise

5 on August 01, 2014

My husband Jeff hit the jackpot when he surprised me with a getaway weekend at Ascot House in charming Marietta, PA. Jeff and I had visited Marietta 15 years prior, but this recent visit was by far the best. The Ascot House is reminiscent of a New England B & B with its inviting entrance, dramatic stairway, and 7 guest suites each uniquely decorated. Jeff worked with Wendy Codd, proprietor and hostess extraordinaire. Upon arrival, Wendy greeted us as family. She arranged to have a fruit basket and birthday balloons waiting in our room. We relaxed on the beautiful deck overlooking her gardens with wine, cheese and fruit. Wendy recommended a lovely Irish restaurant for dinner that night. The next morning, we woke up to enjoy a delicious breakfast to include home made peach cake and eggs benedict. She recommended sightseeing the quaint town of Lititz to spend several hours there taking in the unique shops as well as an art show in the park. For the evening, Jeff had worked with Wendy to arrange a picnic dinner for us to take to Nissely Vineyards. She personally prepared a full menu to include gazpacho soup, chicken salad and home made brownies. We enjoyed an evening of wine and dining under the stars listening to a Big Band concert and dancing as well. I was sad to leave Ascot House and Wendy but back to reality. We plan to visit again.
