Although not in the heart of the local farmland, the innkeepers make up for the lack of greenery with their friendliness and wonderful breakfast.

Review Tea Kettle Inn Bed & Breakfast, Manheim, PA

Photo Album

Road side view of our one and a half storey 1912 Queen Anne home.Garden-like atmosphere; summer on the wrap-around porch.
Christmas at the Inn, 1940s style - Holiday Tour 2004Avonlea room - Anne of Green Gables, by L M Montgomery, was the inspiration for this Victorian styled room featuring a queen-sized cherry four-poster bed. Located on the west side of the house, bright sunlight floods the room in the afternoons, making it feel especially warm and cozy. This room was purchased from the previous owner intact, furniture and furnishings with only a few modifications, decor added.
Chamomile room - This light and airy room, named for the tea, chamomile, which Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit drank when he was ill, will calm, soothe and heal the every day work and travel blues. This north-facing room includes a queen sleigh bed, armoire, and rocker to rock your cares away. Armoire, desk and rocker were purchased unfinished – Kevin finished them. The bath is a former closet and nightstand tables were crafted by Kevin from the floorboards from its construction.Very Nearly Tea room - A.A.Milne's characters and tales influenced this English cottage style room. Wicker and antiques give this room its child-like charm and is reminiscent of a nursery. This room is situated on the east side of the house having a queen bed. The wicker suite from our home in NY was utilized – Patty converted half of the 6-drawer dresser to serve as a desk. The new bath was constructed by pushing out into the hallway and out into eaves.
Relax in our cozy parlor in front of the fireplace to chat with your hosts or other guests, unwind with a good book, or play some of our board games with friends.Through the Looking Glass room - From Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, this room features a queen metal-framed bed, a full sized metal-framed bed and a sitting area and is designed around the fantastical dream story. The bath has been renovated from a tub/shower with deteriorating tile to what the painter dubbed as the “Hershey” bath. Dresser and desk were purchased unfinished, Patty painted the dresser, Kevin stained the desk.
The previous owners ran the inn as "The Trolley Track Inn" from the rail bed that runs along the east side of the property. Pat decided that the name did not sound very restful, so with the help of former coworkers [good luck poem - "Patty put the kettle on, and we'll all have tea!"], and Pat's growing teapot collection, the name was born! - Kevin and Pat enjoy meeting new people (and old friends) and share a love for hospitality and good food.
