Rose Manor

We enjoyed a lovely room in a gorgeous house. The breakfast was outstanding and our vegetarian preference was not a problem. We felt Bonnie went out of her way to think of an interesting breakfast while addressing our vegetarian diet rather than just serve the same plate minus the meat as most establishments do. Bonnie gave us a map and directions to have a lovely tour through Amish country. We were given a key to the house as well as our room so that we could come and go freely. Highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of staying at Rose Manor Bed and Breakfast this past weekend and it was truly a wonderful experience! The home was beautifully decorated and breakfast was perfectly delicious.... especially the puffed pancakes. Bonnie, our hostess, was the best! She was so friendly and down-to-earth. She assisted us by mapping out the directions to several area attractions. We would highly recommend Rose Manor to anyone who is vacationing in the Lancaster area who is in need of a nice, quiet and romantic place to stay.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking to go to the Manheim/Lancaster area, the Innkeepers are extremely kind and very helpful in pointing out all the areas attractions and things to do, the food was amazingly delicious, and the house was beautiful, comfortable and enjoyable. I would absolutely come back here next time I go to the area. This place is really fantastic :)

I stayed two nights and loved it! Breakfast was wonderful, the conversation with Susan, Bonnie & Leo was very enjoyable, and the privacy was just what I needed. Would stay here again!

Rose Manor is the most charming and quaint place that I have ever stayed at. It was like something out of a romance novel. The room was exceptionally clean and we couldn't ask for better or friendlier service. We only met Susan briefly, but interacted several times with her helper, Bonnie, who treated us like family.

my wife and i spent our weekend here for our anniversary for something different to do and had a great relaxing time. Went to Lancaster, did buggy ride, visited animal farm, ate dinner at two close restaurants, both with excellant food. the other guest at the bnb were very friendly and we enjoyed sharing experiences with them, the place was very clean, and a good cost for the time spent. The only slight criticism was that the breakfast was not near enough food for the cost, the food was different and very good, just small portion. We plan on returning in the future, had a great time. We made a last minute reservation and were extremely pleased with our stay. We were greeted at the door by Susan who was very friendly. The room was super clean and had many extra special touches. We stayed at Rose Manor during the month of January and we got a great rate, had the place to ourselves, and the staff was awesome. We had puffy pancakes for breakfast, which was new to us but they were awesome. We would definitely stay there again.

Sue was a charming host. She had insightful suggestions for my quilt shopping and photo shooting. I enjoyed meeting the other guests at breakfast.

We went to stay near the Ren Faire, but found so much more. Our room, the Thyme Room, was very comfortable and we loved that it overlooked the garden! Susan was very helpful in showing us where to eat, shop and sight-see. She also encouraged us to borrow and of the many books in the house while we were there. Our hostess, Bonnie, was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel right at home - I almost forgot she was a perfect stranger. Breakfast was always a delight, and every convenience of home was right at our fingertips! We are looking forward to visiting again!

On the website it said the room we reserved had a "year round fireplace" It was an electric space heater with a light inside of it. It said "the ceilings are angled to be cozy" The room was an attack and we both hit our heads many, many times...and she is 5'4"! The breakfast was 4 muffins, coffee, some odd looking cut up apples in a cup and 1 8oz. cup of O.J. And for this I paid $30.00 extra to have it brought to the room. If anyone else thinks this is a good deal, my hats off to them! There are MUCH, MUCH nicer Bed and Breakfast's around for far less money and the breakfast is a spread that teasts very nice! I know, I've stayed at them. Oddly enough, this place was the ONLY one that had rooms to let. Now I know why!

When this couple arrived, he was sullen & rude because he had gotten slightly lost on the way. When I tried to engage them in conversation, only she responded. The package they booked included a continental breakfast in the room and a gift basket; hence the additional charge. The website clearly stated continental, as did the email confirmation I sent. The fruit dish was Strawberry Chiffon with a plum topping (a repeat guest favorite); I have no idea why he thought he saw apples. Coffee and tea were also included, in addition to a carafe of juice and basket of muffins. The “all-season” fireplace is typical of the electric fireplaces used in many B&Bs and now sold at big-box and hardware stores everywhere; they work with or without heat to provide ambience with a 3-D effect and dancing flames. As for the angled ceilings, the website has an accurate photo of the room, depicting the angled ceilings and states that it's a third-floor room. Had either this man or his wife said something to me about their dissatisfaction while they were here, we would have tried to make them happy. However, they said nothing, and when they arrived home, he sent me an email similar to the review, but containing unnecessary foul language. We try very hard to make our guests comfortable. We value their opinions and when they make constructive suggestions, we take them seriously. However, I believe this review is mean-spirited and inaccurate and not a true reflection of our guests’ typical experience here.

This bed and breakfast was the perfect little place tucked away in the small town of Manheim. A nice place to stay at while visiting the PA Renaissance Faire or the Lancaster area. Spend the extra money and stay in the quiet Basil Room (only room on the third floor) with the whirlpool tub.

My husband and I decided on a quick weekend getaway but didn't want to travel far. We found Rose Manor on the internet and after reading the rave reviews decided this would be the place. The prices are an outstanding value. The area is extremely quiet, considering it is right in town. Easy to find and safe to walk, even at night. The Innkeeper, Sue, was recovering from surgery but did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Bonnie, the chef (and other duties I'm sure), created fantastic gourmet morning meals and chatted with us after we ate. Our first stay at a B&B and it was extremely pleasurable. The only exception was the double bed, but we knew we reserved that room before we got there so we were not surprised. The little sun room off the bedroom was a great place to sit and chat, watch TV or watch the squirrels in the trees. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

I had a great stay! I was accommodated last minute, the service was stellar and the price was affordable. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Booked here last minute for a weekend trip and was highly satisfied. Beautiful exterior and interior, friendly folks, great room. Breakfast was very good quality though not as strong on quantity. No complaints though, and would highly recommend.

What an awesome place to stay while honeymooning! Sandwiched in the middle of Manheim, Rosr manor makes you feel like you've stepped into another world. And the food was excellent! I would recommend this B&B to everyone!

We recently stayed at the Rose Manor in Manheim, PA. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The house was lovely and breakfast delicious. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

This gracious Inn delights guests with its charming British atmosphere from guest rooms to garden. The mixture of antiques and modern conveniences provides a stay that is hospitable and gracious. Breakfasts are delicious. The innkeeper has encyclopedic knowledge of the area. I simply can't imagine a trip to PA without a stay at Rosemanor.

We spent only 1 night, but had a very nice time. check-in was easy and quick. We got great suggestions for local restuarants, and sights. Our room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. there is a nice garden area to decompress. The house is beautiful and nicely furnished, and breakfast was outstanding. We would highly reccomend this B&B to our friends and family.

We had a very nice stay at Rose Manor, and enjoyed the beautiful home. However, we never got to eat breakfast there. The breakfast time is inflexible and didn't work for us. In other B&Bs we've visited, had more flexible mealtimes and also had an option for a continental breakfast (juice, pastries, fruit, cereal, etc.) if that was more convenient. Although we loved the room, next time we'll stay somewhere that has more flexibility in mealtimes.

This is difficult to respond to without knowing the guest's identity and specific circumstances. A continental breakfast is available as an alternative to a full breakfast, and a takeout breakfast is available if a guest needs to leave early. However, if a guest chooses to sleep past breakfast and appears for checkout, planning an alternative to our normal breakfast is difficult.
